NRA said "Fight this violence of lies with the clenched fist of truth”.

The advertisement first played at the NRA’s Leadership Forum in April, and debuted on their website earlier this month as part of the “Freedom’s Safest Place” campaign."

Black Lives Matter activist Deray McKesson added to the criticism, calling it it an “open call to violence to protect white supremacy”.

“If I made a video like this, I'd be in jail,” he tweeted.

Violence against the opposition, is the NRA's answer to their "fake news" problem

"The ad, narrated by radio host an NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch, accuses an unnamed “they” of using the media to “assassinate real news."

The ad's script-

"They (ABC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, New York Times, WaPo, ect.) use their media to assassinate real news. They use their schools to teach children that their president is another Hitler. They use their movie stars and singers and comedy shows and award shows to repeat their narrative over and over again. And then they use their ex-president to endorse the resistance."

"All to make them march, make them protest, make them scream racism and sexism and xenophobia and homophobia. To smash windows, burn cars, shut down interstates and airports, bully and terrorize the law-abiding — until the only option left is for the police to do their jobs and stop the madness.

(Eek! Get more ammunition! Unarmed, passivist, peaceful protesters are mad, unhinged, and certified mentally ill.

gsgs comment-

But, do not shoot the Far Right Extremist that is killing innocent fellow Christians. He is our deranged, unhinged, murderous, White Supremacist Christian fanatic.

And when that happens, they’ll use it as an excuse for their outrage. The only way we stop this, the only way we save our country and our freedom, is to fight this violence of lies with the clenched fist of truth. I’m the National Rifle Association of America, and I’m freedom’s safest place."

(Narrated by Dana Loesch, contributor the Right Wing Pseudo- Conservative disinformation desseminator, The Blaze.)

Well, of course Black Lives Matter would criticize it. They want Black Supremacy, not White Supremacy.

True... but how likely are you to be shot by cop unarmed??

Then again... how many non blacks get shot we don't hear about??

You also forgot how many good cops get shot we don't hear about?

Frankly i believe there should be some level of psychological screening whether is obtaining a firearm/ conceal/carry permit or joining law enforcement. Because it seems to me there are just as many civilians that have no business owning a firearm as there are cops who have no business wearing a badge.

Why don't we hear about them? Surely there are plenty of news sources that would carry those reports. Where are they?

There even are some news sources and at least one tweeter who would be happy to make up the stories. :D

That's a very good question phrodeau, and one that many of us have been asking for some time. You can find out, but not from the fake news media, that's for sure. Which is one of the reasons they're fading away I guess. Coz they're not reporting the news. They're spending all there time telling us what they think we should think. Personally, I'd rather read the news. Or listen. Keep asking these good ones, the light may yet dawn on one little shireperson.

How informative you are. Just what I asked for.

The media is against you. The education system is against you. The entertainment industry is against you. What you got left... the military/industrial complex?

Come on now there are tons of stories about cops getting shot.

There definitely needs to be more scrutiny done during background checks and psychological screening/mental health record check would be ideal.

You should go tell your Congressional representatives this as well as the NRA.

Ahhh, but we have our own media now, real news. Like Breitbart. And your media is going down like Target. Any bets on how long before the NYT goes bust?

Entertainment? Hey, we got Trump flicking your switches all day long. I've never been so politicized. Or so entertained. It's wonderful.

Education system? Hey, we're getting there. Home schooling, our own schools, vouchers. It's all coming. Colleges and universities? They'll feel the funding burn. L

Well now, that depends on whose doing the checking doesn't it, and it really opens the checking process up to political abuse, which defeats the whole purpose of the second amendment. Like, if it was me doing the checking, well hey, guess what, most criminal use of guns is by African Americans, ergo.... and no doubt if it was you, well those evil nazi rednecks like that crazy Chloe.

So nope. No checks. Second amendment all the way. Suck it up buttercup

Cops getting killed? Please! Even fake news covers Police deaths just fine
A cop shooting a man 7 times before even seeing a gun? Yeah, they need better trading and oversight. Not a fair "duel"
I have a little problem with the concept that the second ammendment is making it ok for citizens to shoot citizens because they are "scared"

I can't find any news on Breitbart.com among Simple Options Trading For Beginners and Handmade Custom Game Calls. They seem to have a lower quality of advertisers.

Mass murders were committed by using guns.
Many were hoping for a sane solution.

It did not have to be a yes or no answer.
What was asked for, was a safety measure.

House Votes To Overturn Obama Rule Restricting Gun Sales To the Severely Mentally Ill

February 3, 2017

National Rifle Association had pushed for the repeal, and Republicans argued it infringed upon Second Amendment rights by denying due process.

Supporters of the rule argued it was designed to stop mentally ill persons from getting firearms.

"The House charged ahead with an extreme, hastily written, one-sided measure that would make the American people less safe," Rep. Elizabeth Esty, D-Conn., said, according to The Hill. Esty represents Newtown, Conn., where a mentally ill man shot and killed 20 six- and seven-year-olds and six adults.

However, Republicans argued that the rule was unfair to some would-be gun owners.

"This is a slap in the face for those in the disabled community because it paints all those who suffer from mental disorders with the same broad brush," said Republican House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte, as reported by USA Today. "It assumes that simply because an individual suffers from a mental condition, that individual is unfit to exercise his or her Second Amendment rights."
