Global surface temperatures are increasing. Mesospheric temperatures are decreasing. CO2 is heavier than nitrogen, so it sits on the surface and lower troposphere, where it prevents heat from the sun from reflecting up to the mesosphere.Of course- burning fossil fuels increases the rate of carbon dioxide.
No one knows what the effect of that will be;anyone who pretends to know what the effect of that will be is a fucking liar how can I make that any more clear?
Climate is very complex. Even basic weather is complex. Carbon dioxide is one of the most minor potential variables.
The only thing that we know for absolute certainty is the effect observed in the lab of how climate would change based on carbon dioxide and has never happened in the real world which means what happens outside the lab is being affected by other systems outside the lab. Those things are unknown. Pretending they're known is idiotic.
Really, it is so simple a child could demonstrate it. Oh, look. Here's one now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0kIaCKPlH4
