Vintage 40 Prime THREE

explains a lot. why you weren't healing right. They left you lopsided.

I have a bottle of Jack Daniels on the shelf, that might work to have her walking straight...or put her to sleep.

Nothing like going to Lowe's and ordering lumber for that new room addition then showing them the drawn up plans in Metric.

Don't fret, the original plans were drawn up in 1/12 scale using American Yankee ways, they thought I was from Ontario.

They got to see the converted plans in metric using the conversion factor.

:D

Dang!

It's early and the rooster in the neighbors hen house will not stop squaking.

Oh well the coffee is perki'n and I am doing the laundry.

I might as well take the dog outside. :(

We started hard taping my shoulders back today to try and work on getting the muscles back in place that were out of place for those 6 years. This is gonna hurt for a while. That first 24 hours on or off really kicks my butt bad while it's all shifting round.

I try to remember the positives. I don't have the after burns or effects from an IED like others who deal with this stuff. I also don't have family here who doesn't understand why I suddenly need to lay down on ice for a few minutes and end up asleep for 4 hours.

Monday morning at 9:00 A.M. sharp I have a appointment at the V.A. office, I wonder how it will go?

6 Bell peppers, 6 Beefsteak tomatoes and 6 eggplants are finally planted.

Now comes weeding season.

...or is that wedding season?

How did the VA go? I have an appointment next week.

Mission accomplished!!! I have a rockin awesome team and the Memorial day service went really well for a first time event here even tho that American Legion pulled out at the last minute. 3 of my Marines made the color guard and singing happen. Team members helped buy the flags we were short so every veteran we knew of had a flag... including one special cross made into a battle field cross for an unknown veteran. The books only say he was a military veteran. No name, no branch, no info on how he passed away.

Tomorrow is picking up 33,000 flags set at the local national cemetery and Wednesday morning is picking up the 300 from the little cemetery from today's service before hitting my first real PT session of the week.

Thank you for taking the risks to personal health that you do to honor our vets. I did my own small part, but it was nothing compared to what you did.

As always Starry I am impressed and very thankful for all you do. It would be easy for you to become bitter and turn inside of yourself but instead, you use your energy positively by helping others. You are awesome.
And your art adds color to the house.

Thank You Sweetie but you know it's more dangerous if I get bored. Best to stay busy & do what I can.
I only dropped a 40lb tub of water on my foot when I pulled it out of the truck with my better arm.
The guys from the cemetery were not there to lift it out so I just let it drop to drag it a foot to the grass.
I didn't move my foot fast enough so I have a purple toe now.
but it's ok for walking.

Thanks for the kind words. Things went really pretty smooth due to the teams.

The Memorial Day service we had to pull out of thin air on Friday night went really well especially for a first time event at the small cemetery. Those horrible Am Legion people who canceled at the last minute hadn't planned on letting them know are still on my NASTY list. They were just going to let us show up & have no one & nothing there. Their secretary was embarrassed so she called the little cemetery team to tell them & then thought she was going to walk in and "save" the event her Post had created. Instead the girls called me & I called the team.

The 33k in flags on Tuesday went so smooth it wasn't even funny. They let me shake the trees for volunteers & we had 6 or 7 groups show up. Bam all done is just over 2 hours. I had in an extra hour getting bottled water in ice set up & then picked up after. I only screwed up when the guys were not available to lift the tubs out of my truck so I pulled them off with my better arm & dropped it to the ground. Sadly I hit my foot so I have a purple toe now but I'm ok walking.

I'm glad you were able to find a place in the house for that bird. Did you all name it????

If only I could be there with you I would kiss it and suck on it to try and make it feel better. Besides that should get the blood circulating in it. :p

The tomatoes, butternut squash, eggplants and cannabis is planted.

That leaves the carrots and a few rose bushes to get put in the ground.

God, why did I move North?

Always more planting to get done.

My God it is June again.

I have another type of "seed" that I want to plant. Unfortunately I have no "furrow" in which to plant it. :(

You had you're chances, now go to a local church and get married.

I still have a chance, it is still June.

How did the VA go? I have an appointment next week.

Bring all of the papers with you, they love to do paperwork.

The enlistment papers, the order papers, the training papers and the DD-214, don't forget any medical papers.

You need to look into growing wild lettuce.

I'm a nurse, leave me alone.

I put up with 2 years at R.C.C. with a Psych. major then 2 more years at S.U.N.Y. Canton with free clinical s thrown in and now I have 2 more years to teach student nursing.

I should have listened to my parents.

I was married once. I stopped wondering whether there was life after death. The more important question became whether there is actually sex after marriage. She went to church far too much and bought into that nonsense about how sex is only for making babies. I now make it a point to stay away from both church and marriage.

If I had listened to my parents then I would be trapped in a messy house with an obese blonde and an ever increasing number of brats and grandbrats. At least now I get to enjoy a lot of peace and quiet. :)

Hmmm.....

LOL.....you went to the wrong church then.

...and just when you figure you had her figured out.

...all hell breaks loose.
