You're partly right. Quitting is an option if what you're being asked to do by your constituents is abhorrent. There are also other options BUT, usurping the powers of a political office for a personal agenda is NEVER the right thing. EVER. Regardless of political party, our legislators and representatives are not God to decide FOR us. To believe otherwise means that you were not taught what "WE, the People" truly means.

Laws are made to affect the lives of the people according to the social mores and beliefs of those people regardless of whether the lawmakers are personally affected or not. The ones with the most voices win the contest of what laws get enacted. That's not necessarily the right or wrong thing. We have a judicial system to sort that out rather than burning, looting, and attempting to murder people. Right now that requirement is being ignored in favor of the bonfire option.

As for the rest, as I posted either in this thread or another one here, the "your shitstain is worse than my shitstain" contest is a loser for both sides. There is nothing you can say about either party that they cannot say in return. So, if you wish to continue to discuss this, drop the party line hate rhetoric.

As for me, I am attempting to reduce and eventually eliminate the foul language I have been using in order to return to some level of civility. Please, everyone, do me the courtesy of reciprocating. It will help me succeed in this endeavor of returning to humanity rather than remaining a foul mouthed cretinous troll.

Well, I listen to CNN among other outlets and I have yet to hear any of the Democratic leadership denounce BLM for their riots. Or denounce the Berkeley riots. Or the cop killings. Or the current attack in Alexandria.
