Gottdamnit that was unfortunate timing.

Dude.

Totally did not intend to cockblock you. Sorry for the distraction.

I know you were hoping to call her before "her man" did.

Now get yourself in there for some sloppy seconds.

Time for some seaweed, raw fish, and saké.

Hope it was good. That was almost my after-work move tonight, but saving it for later.

Everyone is out in the city because it's a perfect night...and that means dealing with crowds of headass nutters making comfortable spaces irritating. Trains are also fucked-up because of maintenance. Went with a new Jimador Silver & some take-come tacos from the best truck on this coast. I'm bliss. :D

You're only fooling yourself, BetaBoi. You're not capable of cockblocking anyone. Just ask the ex wife.

It was some fine, fine eats. Much like your East Coast metropolis, we are blessed with some top-notch eateries out here, in the Pacific Northwest.

We were thinking about doing the Teppanyaki thing, but we did not have reservations and the wait was going to be killer.

We started off with this amazing salad of bitter greens, toasted coconut strips, and chopped macadamia nuts. The dressing on this was the center piece though. It had coconut oil, yuzo kosho, brown rice vinegar, amped up with the perky brightness of fresh lime juice. And because you eat Japanese food with your eyes and your mouth, the salad was served in these delicate ceramic bowls, and sprinkled with the thin, purple leaves of fresh chive blossoms.

I've got to recreate that dressing. Amazing stuff.

The rest of the meal was comprised of some spicy tuna sashimi, chopped scallop roll, some seared sockeye salmon belly, and some Saba, unagi, and salmon nigiri pieces.

All enjoyed with ice cold (it has been hot here) saké.

Have a great night, and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
