Trump starts his weak of sadness with :

‘It was like a total sh*tshow’: Attendee at NATO dinner reveals Trump’s private speech left world leaders appalled

In the wake of President Donald Trump’s comments on Friday that he supports NATO’s collective defense clause, known as Article 5, an attendee who sat in on a private dinner with world leaders and Trump in late May called Trump’s performance that evening a “total shitshow.”

Speaking with Foreign Policy, the source said Trump entered the closed-door dinner with two different speeches to give – but instead dumped them both and winged causing world leaders in attendance to be “appalled.”

“Oh, it was like a total shitshow,” explained the source.

And that was a diplomat talking!

If he goes down, they go down with him’: GOP won’t abandon Trump while his base holds, says journalist

Washington Post journalist Ayesha Rascoe said on Saturday that Republicans in Washington will never abandon President Donald Trump as long as he remains popular with the GOP base, who have remained faithful to the president in spite of his many scandals and missteps in office.

In an MSNBC panel discussion of whether fired FBI Director James Comey’s testimony on Capitol Hill Thursday damaged Trump’s support with Republicans, Rascoe said that the rank and file GOP will remain loyal to the president no matter what he does so long as his support remains firm among Republican stalwarts.

“I think what Republicans are looking at is that they’re obviously right now tied to Trump,” Rascoe said, “and if he goes down, basically, they will go down, too. So, I think at this point, as long as the base stays with President Trump, the Republican Party will stay with President Trump.”

Unease is spreading among some elected Republicans that the administration’s ineptitude will damage their prospects for re-election in 2018. Current polls show that Trump’s popularity continues to fall with most Americans, scraping historic lows at 37 percent approval. However, his suppport among most Republicans remains strong.

Which goes to show that his base is uniquely stupid.

What Comey left out about the probe is what should trouble Trump

It’s unclear if the president and his men understand the mole-hunting culture of FBI and CIA operatives. These are not gumshoes who reluctantly close criminal probes because they haven’t got a case that will stand up in court, no matter the weight of accumulated evidence. They will tear down the White House in the search for “any little shred, any little clue” leading to the rat who is selling out their country, as Sandy Grimes, a legendary CIA mole hunter, once put it.

I sure would like to know what Comey said in the classified session?

‘Marked man’ Attorney General Jeff Sessions abruptly cancels public testimony

On Saturday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions canceled his scheduled appearance before an open session of the House and Senate appropriations committees set for the coming week.

Think Progress reported that Sessions sent letters to the chairmen of the committees saying that he will send his deputy Rod Rosenstein in his stead. He explained that he was withdrawing from public testimony because he believes members of the committee intend to question him on “issues related to the investigation into Russian interference with the 2016 election.”

It later came out in closed session questioning that Sessions had yet another meeting with Russian ambassador to the U.S. and purported spymaster Sergey Kislyak.

Judd Legum at Think Progress said, “Instead of testifying publicly before the appropriations committees, where these matters could be discussed in the light of day, Sessions will appear before the Senate Intelligence Committee. The Washington Post and USA Today report that Sessions’ appearance is expected to be closed.”

Make sure he is under oath and has his bags packed.

I clicked on a link to a report of President Trump's recent speeches. It stopped loading and I got a message that said, "Warning: Unresponsive script."

Ain't that the truth.

Trump cancels trip to Britain to avoid ‘large scale protests’: report

President Donald Trump has cancelled a long-planned trip to Britain to avoid “large-scale protests,” the Guardian is reporting.

Trump reportedly told British Prime Minister Theresa May that he does not want to visit later this year unless he has the support of the British public.

According to the Guardian, the president made his intention to stay away in a phone call with May, saying he does not want make the trip if in light of plans for mass protests against him

The report states that May was surprised by Trump’s remarks.

He's got enough protests at home, he doesn't need foreign ones too!

Former US attorney Preet Bharara: ‘There’s absolutely evidence’ that Trump obstructed justice

Former New York U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara told ABC News on Sunday that there is “absolutely evidence” to begin an investigation into whether President Donald Trump obstructed justice.

During an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, Bharara said that evidence provided by former FBI Director James Comey’s suggested that Trump illegally tried to influence an investigation into Russia’s interference in the U.S. election and possible collusion with the Trump campaign.

“There is absolutely evidence to begin a case,” Bharara explained. “No one knows right now whether there is a provable case of obstruction… [but] there’s no basis to say there’s no obstruction.”

Bharara also recounted how he was fired by Trump after refusing to take an “inappropriate” phone call from the president.

Maybe the 'Tapes' will vindicate the Tumpanzy? :)-

Comey told his side — now it is Sessions’ turn

According to Sessions, his appearance before senators was "in light of Mr. Comey's recent testimony."

"It is important that I have an opportunity to address these matters in the appropriate forum," Sessions said in a letter published Saturday.

Sessions will testify to the Senate intelligence committee on Tuesday.

‘You can’t run forever’: Sen. Patrick Leahy puts Jeff Sessions on notice that he is coming after him

Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT) served notice to Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Staurday night and Sunday morning that he is not happy that that Sessions is ducking appearing before the Appropriations Committee he sits on and that he “can’t run forever.”

Leahy served up his warning on Twitter in a scathing series of tweets — all but calling Sessions a liar.

“Atty Gen. Sessions provided false testimony in response to questions from me,” Leahy tweeted.

Is Sessions 'the weak link' in the Trumpanzy Admin?

‘He’s got to step up to the plate’: Schumer challenges Trump to testify before Congress under oath

“I would like to invite the President to testify before the Senate,” Schumer said on Face the Nation. “I think we could work out a way it could be dignified, public, with questions, with Leader McConnell.”

“The fact that he’s new, the fact that he may not say things so seriously, that’s not an excuse. He’s the president of the United States and he’s got to step up to the plate,” Schumer said during the interview.

He added that they would consult with Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller when and if the president agreed to the testimony.

Fox News noted that Schumer appears to be taking the president up on his statement claiming he is “100 percent” willing to speak under oath about his interactions with Comey and contradict the narrative the former FBI director presented in his testimony last week.

When we get Trump, at the plate, under oath, can we pitch a bean ball? :)

Among the burning questions he will be asked:

1. Did you meet with Sergei Kislyiak at the Mayflower Hotel?

2. What was your exact role in the Comey firing and did it violate your recusal?

3. Did you perjure yourself at your Senate Confirmation hearing?

4. Does your written addendum to your Confirmation Testimony accurately state the number of times you have met with Russian officials? (We already know it doesn't.)

Round up everybody’: GOPer calls for mass firings at DOJ because of the ‘conspiracy afoot’ against Trump

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) on Sunday called for mass firings at the Department of Justice because he believes that there is a “conspiracy” to destroy President Donald Trump.

According to the Texas congressman, former FBI Director James Comey was “lying” in his testimony last week when he alleged that Trump pressured him to drop an investigation related to Russia’s interference in the 2016 U.S. election.

“I believe I heard him say he did the memo [about possible obstruction of justice] then he talked with some of his colleagues,” Gohmert insisted to Fox News host Julie Banderas. “We need to round up everybody he talked to because they were all conspiring against the president and all conspiring against their oath of office, conspiring against their own employment agreement.”

“We have a conspiracy remaining afoot in the Department of Justice that is going to be out to destroy this president and they’ve got to be fired, if not worse,” he added.

But, But, But what about the conspiracy to destroy the Country, you know, in Congress?

Lindsey Graham:Trump could ‘go down’ for talking and tweeting too much

The senator said he thought Trump had a good agenda but that his tweeting habit got in the way of that.

“The president got elected by being a fighter, a disruptor,” Graham said, adding: “I've gotten to know the president better. I like him. He's got a good agenda.”

“But here's the question. Can you be a street fighter on all things all the time and still be a good president? My advice to the president is every day you're talking about Jim Comey and not the American people and their needs and their desires, their hopes and their dreams, you're making a mistake,” Graham stated.

If Trump hopes to be a 'street fighter" he has to learn to take a punch and grin. He should know he is out numbered and STFU!

John McCain: Obama was a better world leader than Trump

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) dropped a bombshell in an interview published Sunday in The Guardian, saying that American leadership in the world was stronger under former President Barack Obama than it currently is under President Donald Trump.

The Guardian described McCain as “visibly irked” when asked about the message Pres. Trump sent to the United Kingdom with his combative tweets aimed at London’s mayor in the wake of the terror attack at London Bridge.

“What do you think the message is? The message is that America doesn’t want to lead,” McCain said.

Of the rest of the international community, he said, “They are not sure of American leadership, whether it be in Siberia or whether it be in Antarctica.”

Was U.S. standing on the international stage stronger under Pres. Obama, asked Guardian reporters Sabrina Siddiqi and Lauren Gambino.

“As far as American leadership is concerned, yes,” McCain said.

What a maverick that McCain is?

Let the American people hear’: Sen. Ron Wyden demands intel heads force Sessions to testify in public

In a letter sent to both the Republican and Democratic leaders of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) asked the committee to compel Attorney General Jeff Sessions to answer questions in public in the coming weeks.

“I urge that the committee hold a public hearing with the Attorney General in the open so that the American public can hear for themselves what he has to say with regard to connections to the Russians and the President’s abuse of power,” Wyden wrote.

And waterboard him to make sure he's telling the truth!

What a maverick that McCain is?

The M word that comes to my mind on McCain is "mealymouthed." He takes both sides. If he put it all together along with what Trump has said about him, he should be consistently lowering the boom on the con man.

I remember being surprised online when I read about people's reactions to McCain's questions & things after the Comey stuff... After surprise, my reaction quickly became, "Who cares?"

Even if the man were not a war veteran (which we know just as well Trump is not), add up what he's done for this country (perhaps minus some points for Palin), & it's still likely as good as Trump, if not better... And certainly not worse than Trump's done since he got the DC job. (Just thought of this: In future, "DC" stands for "Donald's Crap".)

British responce

So Trump’s too scared to come to the UK. Who says protest doesn’t work?

How might President Trump react to a world leader who, afraid for his image, perhaps afraid for himself, refused to fulfil a promise to visit a loyal ally. He might fire off a tweet: “RAN from critics. A gift for crooked MSM. TOTAL pathetic loser!”

But he won’t, because the loser is him. He got to hold hands with Theresa May when she visited Washington, but alas, that may be the high point of his cuddle-fest with her, and with us – because Trump, it now appears, is not keen on making his proposed state visit to Britain any time soon.

He has apparently, in a recent telephone call to the prime minister, declared that he does not want to come if there are to be large-scale protests. The visit, we are told, is on hold.

Some may be surprised by this. From the violence and menace that became features of his ugly campaign, it was easy to assume that he liked a bit of edge at his public appearances. But on those occasions, he knew he would always have the support of far-right thugs and hangers-on who could drown out dissent and, if need be, throw a few punches at protesters, passers-by, anyone who would dare to question him. That intimidation, unprecedented in recent history, would have been more difficult to replicate here; he could hardly bring his street fighters with him. There are only so many seats on Air Force One.

I see Donny crashed a wedding at his golf club and danced with the bride. Do you think he grabbed her on the pussy?
