What is wrong with it?
I am talking obese. Not slightly over weight, not "healthy" as I certainly am not a fan of a super skinny girl with no curves at all. But significantly overweight.
It is certainly acceptable to shame people for smoking.
We even charge them more for health care and life insurance.
Pass laws on where they can smoke.
So why do the super fat get a pass?
"Obesity is one of the biggest drivers of preventable chronic diseases and healthcare costs in the United States. Currently, estimates for these costs range from $147 billion to nearly $210 billion per year. In addition, obesity is associated with job absenteeism, costing approximately $4.3 billion annually and with lower productivity while at work, costing employers $506 per obese worker per year."
Perhaps some good shaming and educational commercials running around the clock are in order.
