I have no idea. She's been here 2 weeks on Sunday. Her momma was feral so a friend of mine saved the kittens. Hazel is doing really well. I just hope she does not suddenly develop balls or I'm in trouble.

She is adorable! She looks like about a month old. Boy or girl, check with your local SPCA. There may be an organization or a vet in your area that can fix the kitten when he/she is old enough at some sort of discount or free, hopefully.

Or at least call them to find out if there are free rabies and distemper shots in your area. Whoever can see the kitten will be able to look at the teeth and figure out how old he/she is.

Too cute. Hazel is a perfect name.

I rescued an abandoned kitten once on the shoulder of the freeway. Named him "Freeway" of course. He's 4 now and FAT. I have pics of him when I brought him home someplace around here. He still had blue eyes and fuzzy baby fur so he was probably less than 6 weeks old when I found him.

We don't make a superior product. The climate does. Colder winters result in denser wood that lasts much longer when harvested and made into things like 2z4s and cedar shingles.

We also do not subsidize. We control the market. It's cheaper and does not have any of the destructive influences of subsidization not just on developing countries but domestically too.

Many times world courts and dispute panels have sided with Canada. This is just the US whingeing again and again because it did not get it's way. We're not going to be bullied by the US or the orange fool in charge. So get ready to pay back the millions in tariffs you impose. Just like all the other times. It is why our government has given loans at market rates to help out. They are confident the US will yet again be forced to relinquish the money and give it back.

Agree. America, and every other country seeks to gain advantage over others. Individual industries benefit from this to a greater or lesser extent dependent upon their individual pull with those in power. Which involves money and its inherant corruption, of course.

I'm responding to Hard Rom whingeing about how we are so unfair to the poor Haitians but yet it's perfectly fine for the Canadiens to be unfair to American logging interests.

He also argues that Canadians make a superior product and somehow argues that they to continue their practices help to reduce the price of their superior product in the marketplace.

Neither of his positions make any logical sense.

My personal view is there's no such thing as unfair practices. For example if China wants to exploit their workers for the benefit of our consumers I'm all for

Don't forget the part where last time they did this and the illegal duties were sitting in a bank waiting for the tribunal decision on whether it was justified and they were ordered to give it back, they didn't..they just kept it:(

a few billion if I recall correctly

I heard someone who named their golden doodle Parfait today. I thought that was adorable.

I assumed that the US would follow a legal decision. My bad. I guess we should consider means to get the monies illegally appropriated back. Can't have countries out right stealing from one another. Trade disputes are one thing, theft of illegally obtained money is another. Probably one of the reasons the US refuses to join in the World Court. Can't have them being held accountable now can we!

Because we've all thought of it once or twice, right?

On top of that:
How do they retrieve them after they put them in?

I didn't sense that Rom was "whingeing" - (wtf is with the Britishism?) Like me, he's pissed off at the reopening of the lumber war... after the US was deemed in the wrong by TWO independent International trade tribunals... But, carry on being bullies - that's what isolationist Administrations have been doing ever since James Monroe thunk up his "Doctrine".

/Rant

AND, for once in a Blue Moon... I absolutely agree with Lance - Harley-Davidson should have failed, in the "American" system, but a Republican government gave them corporate welfare.

the specifics of the lumber trade War I leave to you and I take you at your word. As far as Harley-Davidson completely agree they and General Motors should both be out of business.

Chrysler should have been out of business about three times.

Sump pump

We never had water issues in the basement until, of course, the year my dad removed the sump pump and covered over the pit. That year municipal water came to our hamlet. The contractor who put in the neighbour behind us' connection went right through the weeping tiles that led to the highway drainage ditch. Come spring very quickly we had 4" of water in the basement.

Our mum kicked me and my brother out of bed to go help our dad dig up and replace the broken tiles. My first experience with the Zen of ditch digging.

Absolutely freaking adorable. What a little charmer.

I've fattened her up since she moved in. Look at her belly. I've got to hold off some on how much milk i'm giving her and increase her water consumption. Don't worry, I won't pull her milk just cut down some.

Well they're supposed to have a little bit of round bellies as kittens. :D I think I heard that goats milk is supposed to be the go to for feeding kittens? I tried it once with a syringe and nipple on a rescue but had to pass him off because I had no luck. Do you have to use a nipple/syringe or will she take it out of bowl?

Haha you're right.
She looks like she's about to burst, and she has a double chin too.

At that age, they put on and lose weight so quickly, I'm sure iy will redress within a matter of days.

FIAT wanted back into North American markets... Sergio Marchione, their CEO, is actually Canadian, so he understands this market.

They also wanted the Jeep and Dodge Ram brands, which ARE viable, as Americans are sticking to their gas-guzzlers, like a drowning sailor grabs a life raft.

thank goodness for all the clear-headed mayors who intend to keep upholding the Paris climate accord
