When pretty much all of the world's leading scientists and scientific institutions point to global climate change as fact, that's enough for me. Furthermore, it is my opinion that anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot.

Do you have prominent veins on your arms?

I do not.. but I know where each of them is located so it's all good!

AND.. I'd prefer fish

What was your last interaction with your neighbors?

Took groceries to the couple across the street.

Fresh or salt water tank?

very cool thing to do for the neighbors!

I don't own fish. When I go to see them, I am fascinated by the colors of saltwater fish.

If you were allowed to remodel any room in your home, which would you pick and how would you change it?

The attic. We have a very high roof which makes the attic a third floor. I would love to refinish it into usable space.

Same question.

I have an enclosed porch that was thrown out there as a temporary add-on when we closed a summer place we had near the Lake Erie islands.. I'd like to make that a more permanent area.. perhaps a little larger. I like sitting out there, surrounded by glass. It's grounding.

How does your best friend at work help you to enjoy your job?

He's a riot and always seems to know when I'm about to pop a gasket. I can count on him for a funny comment and a "Fuck 'em!"

What do you do to recenter when work is just to much?

I call a colleague and we walk. We have a mile loop outside.. or we can do a dozen laps in the medical office building. When you're walking, less people pay attention to your conversation. The movement helps to keep me centered.

What is your lucky charm?

A St. Christopher medal my grandmother gave me when I left for boot camp.

At a party, would you rather dance or sit in the corner and have a deep conversation?

Totally depends on my mood, the music and who I'm with. (Also, how loud the music is, I hate screaming over loud music).

I love to dance and just let loose. I also love those great sit at the kitchen table and solve the worlds problems over a lot of alcohol type conversations.

What is your favorite Lit story category and why?

I enjoy basic hot dogs and 'burgs. Baked beans and slaw.

I had a taste for ribs tho, tomorrow I'll be grilling baby backs.

Do you ever pack picnic lunches or dinners and eat outside away from home?

Sometimes. We used to more when money was an issue. Many a roadtrip (and we had many a roadtrip when the family was young) started with a full picnic basket and cooler. Rest stops were our picnic ground. We knew which ones were best on the routes we traveled the most.

We still take "sack" lunches to the boat. Sometimes we eat in the parking lot (which is far nicer than it sounds, the lake out in front of us and the forest around us). Often we eat out on the water (which sounds nicer than it actually is, ever try to steer a boat while eating a sandwich?)

What's your favorite picnic spot memory?

I read that when she first posted it! hmmmm...that's a good one!

OK, so there are two. First, I was about 12, and we went out to Cape Hatteras, NC (barrier islands, lovely beaches). We basically played, body surfed. It was the first time in my life that I was ever at an ocean beach. Sand Crabs etc. Just amazing.

The second. I was newly married (less than a year). We were young, poor, and didn't have much vacation time. We took a long weekend in the fall and went camping at a beach on Lake Michigan. There were not many people. We had sex on the sand in the middle of the afternoon. It was not anywhere near the best sex. It was rushed etc. And, sand gets EVERYwhere...
But just the thrill of doing it so publicly.

What is one of your regrets in life?

Not taking the time to get to know my Grandpa (Dad's Dad) before he passed.
Like I had no idea he was in Vietnam.

What is your biggest bucket list item?

Sailing the southern ocean leg of a round the world race. Or the whole race. But that leg in particular.

How did you first find Lit?

All I remember is I was searching for something (probably naughty) and it linked to a Lit story. It was months before I found out there was a forum.

What is your favorite story genre?

What is your favorite story genre?

The one that involves gremlins, one armed midgets, jello, and German Shepards involved in S and M. Don't recall the name of it however.

Have you ever read Where the Sidewalk Ends?

Wow, I almost have to say that this is a genre specific question, but I will go with the only series of books I still own after reading. So, Robert Ludlom.

What is your favorite ongoing series of books?

Don't really have a series of books I read, just tend to have eclectic taste when it comes to reading material.

What old film would you like to see remade?

As a rule, I dislike remakes. But, for the sake of argument, I'd like to see what "Forbidden Planet" would look like today.

What book would you love to see made into a movie?

Ohhh good question... I guess it would be a tie between Casablanca and Singin in the rain
