From the moment Robert Mueller was announced to head the special counsel investigation of the con artist's collusion with Russia, the con artist has sought any way possible to downplay or even outright kill the investigation. With his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, now the subject of direct investigation, the con artist is seeking to use Federal ethics rules to do just that.

Within the Code of Federal Regulations there exists an item which restricts newly hired government lawyers from investigating their prior law firm’s clients for one year after their hiring, the sources said. The con artist signed an illegal and unconstitutional executive order to extend that term to two years.

Mueller's former law firm, WilmerHale, represents Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, who met with a Russian bank executive in December, and the president's former campaign manager Paul Manafort, who is a subject of a federal investigation.

Legal experts said the ethics rule can be waived by the Justice Department, which appointed Mueller. He did not represent Kushner or Manafort directly at his former law firm.

Even if the rule can't be directly used, the con artist will most likely use it in an attempt to cast doubt on the perfectly legal and common sense investigation into collusion between the con artist and Russia during the campaign. Like the ever present, "Fake!" any time evidence is presented to show such collusion, the con artist's cabal will try to besmirch the reputation of Mueller by using this ethics rule.

After all, when one has acted unethically the first thing to do is claim unethical behavior by the person investigating your unethical actions.

Of course. Trump has always accused others of the things he does himself.
