Good thing you have that beautiful model with you always for whenever you feel like being artsy. You use the light and shadow so well on her in this case to show her lines in a most appealing fashion.

Yes, that's exactly what happened. The sun only appears at that angle for a few moments each day (when it appears at all), so the layers and reflection were there only briefly. Like most things, I suppose.
