While it seems like there isn't a movie out there that doesn't feature a manly female lead, usually who is also busty and wears sexy outfits, who kicks in men's heads, shoots people, and saves the world, apparently the femanist establishment feels that it hasn't gone far enough.

In fact, Google is helping bankroll Geena Davis' effort to monitor every word uttered by every character in every mainstream movie to analyze how many words are spoken by women vs. words spoken by men and work with studios to remedy any pro-male disparity in future movies.

Forget all the minor problems facing the world like hunger, war, poverty, this is serious stuff!

*chuckle*

I wonder what the side-effects of unattainable expectations are to little girls who grow up to discover that they are not actually strong enough to be Marine Recon...

I went to pick up my new reading glasses yesterday.

I stepped up to the counter before a woman who appeared after me.

The clerk asks whos next.... we both say "I am".

Clerk says "ladies first!" And waits on the woman.

I said hold it a second, i was here first and whats with this ladies first stuff?... were all equal, remember?

They both smiled.

Nothing has changed.

Women need to be slapped around now and then, otherwise they get all kinds of retarded ideas about things.

Fletcher: Where would Tina Turner be right now if she'd rolled over and said, "Hit me again, Ike, and put some stank on it!"? Rollin' on the river, that's where she'd be. But she's beyond Thunderdome, because she decided to send a message?
[yells]
Fletcher: Wake up, sisters! There is nooooooo such thing as a weaker sex!

Some pigs are more equal than others on the animal farm.

Didja see this, Renny? Blockbuster! White guy saves China and through due process, the world! I missed it in the theaters. How was it? :D

Suppose the woman could fight and so on without wearing the sexy outfits? Maybe just kinda. lol
Ones ( it's still a movie...) That's when we'd be over things more.

Or if the women were more frequently the same age as the male leads and taking roles with more regularity into post menapasal years, as male actors of success can hope for.

Y'know...do the men wear "sexy outfits?" Is that how they call it when men are acting? I've never looked at it that way when watching movies.

Flannel and shit-kicker boots?

:D

I never guess a woman's age or weight.

Some years ago the Queen confronted me, why aren't you commenting on my weight loss (like 10 pounds, and keep in mind, we were both active athletes at the time)? and my reply was...

"I didn't say a damned thing when you were putting on the pounds and I'm not about to start now."

That was the last time I ever had to endure a conversation like that.

I was fully with you when it came to Disney cartoon movies featuring transsexual Cinderellas or gay couples, but I think that you're going a bit over the top with this one.

It has nothing to do with feminazi indoctrination or whatever.
It's just money - driven, responding to the market demand and what a lot of young girls prefer.

Even I, at my age prefer female kick ass movies with a lot of adrenalin and awesome special effcts (Alien, Resident Evil, Divergent) to some movie featuring a hapless and boring girl waiting to be rescued.
It's just about needing an adrenalin fix and an escape, not about being feminazis. Because once the movie is over, we go back to and accept our boring mundane and conventional lives.

I was just thinking about Ridley Scott's "Alien",

For being "feminazified", that film would be hard to beat, and that was thirty-eight years ago.

We need manly men like Liberace and Fred Astaire.

I don't recall Liberace's starring in a movie but it does beg the question, what is not "manly" about Liberace, Fred Astaire or Prince for that matter?

Your heavy investment of self-identifying is Alpha as fuck strikes me as a little try hard.

I see the film industry as a propaganda vehicle for social change. The movies today are full of roles that portray women as the fighting gender who dominate men physically and mentally, where male contributions are simply relegated to positions of subordination to female leadership, physicality, and intellect. This is the doctrinal messaging of the hard left and the feminist movement reduced to film, defined as entertainment, the purpose of which is to alter or repress the worth of masculinity in developing male youth and condition them to the alleged superiority of female leadership and control.

I also suspect that it has to do with the fact that probably the movie watching audience is becoming increasingly female.
How many women would watch a movie in which the plot is just an excuse for watching a white guy and chinese guy kick each other's butt?
