Welding on a "tube" along the new Silk Road. I'm guessing that the "tube" is a casing for a cast-in-place concrete piling or pier. Check out the crane being used to set the rebar cage.

Sweet, always nice to see another useless dam and obstruction going. Must have been hell to build though in the first place.
It's prolly more boondoggle than necessity to remove. The dam upstream will not be coming out.
Every useless dam removed is a good thing. Gives local employment for a bit anyways. Dam above still generating something useful?
At least there is no safety risk...with the bridge, or the tunnel..or the childrens hospital

Don't set the tension too tight on the screw or it will be smaller than actual size due to compression
Use the ratchet for consistency.
Might as well be a hammer compared to a laser interferometer.
