I'm unsure of what a podcast is, where I would listen to one, or what I would do with my eyes when listening.

I'm just here to lick my eyebrows and smile at FeelYa.
if paul f tompkins is involved i'll give it a listen if i'm bored, but i'm not a podcast guy. i just like paul f tompkins. he's a funny fucker. he's also been on like every other podcast that has ever existed, so that's something.
also, bring back no, you shut up.
not you, but, you know, whoever can make that happen needs to make it happen. that show was the shit.
I really enjoyed season 1 of Serial and S-Town. Criminal is also very good (shorter episodes, too, which can be nice at times). Right now I'm listening to Suspect Convictions.
Stefan Molyneux
I love listening to this guy!!
Like talk radio, it's good for times when you cannot dance and don't want to sing. Sometimes driving, cooking something that needs attention. I am not so into them, but I am trying more because some can be really super
I enjoyed Homecoming, The Black Tapes, TANIS, and recently started RABBITS, for serials.
I subscribe to Ted Talks, WTF, The Moth, LORE, and Tell Me Something I Don't Know, and a small handful of food related podcasts.
Malcolm Gladwell's Revisionist History was a good listen.
Other than those, I mostly search a topic or person, download them and listen.
The Joe Rogan Podcast is an interesting podcast.
And I'm just here to watch JohnnySavage try to lick his eyebrows.
How's life in Savage Manor? Run into any camels lately? Please say yes!!!
...
I moved to remote WVa a year ago. No camels that I've seen so far but lots of other critters.
Speaking of camels: If you ever see a camel with no humps, rest assured his name is Humphrey.
bastard.
anyway, random paul f tompkins standup bit: peanut brittle
new dads
the second one is off his freak wharf album which i love though laboring under delusions is also great.
and he is in a shitload of podcasts. i wasn't kidding about that. he's been on comedy bang bang quite a bit. also, others.
oh and he's mr. peautbutter.
anyway, more caffeine. brain needs energy.
Lately I have been listening to interview-type podcasts, where authors, chefs, business leaders, etc speak on their approach to their craft / tasks, their motivations, and anecdotes about obstacles and hardships, and how they overcame these to get to the top of their profession.
I found a few interviews with Ania Ahlborn, a great horror author that Fata mentioned, and after reading a couple of her books I was interested in how she developed and fleshed out her characters.
This morning I finished the first of a two-part interview with her on the This Is Horror Podcast, and my god, the two guys who do the podcast...imagine a retainer-wearing Ozzy Osbourne (today’s Ozzy, all mumbly and scatterbrained) and the most bumpkinny of the two American Pickers hosts, meets the two SNL radio hosts of The Delicious Dish (Schweddy Balls), conducting an interview. LOLs a plenty.
Ania was brilliant, and spoke on self-publishing, her approach to writing, writing for yourself (not critics or fans), and the importance of creating relatable characters - protagonist and antagonist alike - so the reader is drawn into the story.
Check it out if you’re interested in hearing an author speak to the craft of writing, constructing compelling characters and story, and not just promoting their latest work. Enjoy the bonus laughter you're sure to experience when you hear some of the tangents the hosts accidentally stumble down.
Looking forward to listening to Part 2.
oh and a link to the actual comedy bang bang site: there you go. finally.
i tend to listen to murder
I put this image in the other podcast thread

are you interested in murder?

I was super happy that I got to hear My Favorite Murder in Indianapolis today. Murder and humor all while making fun of my city
I do NPR First every morning, which is 10 to 13 minutes of news in the world - although this morning it was all Comey.
Season 2 of Alice Isn't Dead started back up recently (same people who did Welcome to Night Vale).
And pretty much all the same murder stuff as LTR.
