I was generalising, of course but I was only referring to half of the guys who post in or have some sort of affiliation to the Blurt Thread.

(Most) political posters act like normal folks.
Personally, if I was told off by any of them it was for making some stupid or inappropriate comment. Never for my appearance, my ethnicity or for some other sexist issue. Because they simply don't care about that aspect.

What's wrong with those Blurt people? Some of them (male and female) act as if they're stuck in some time warp in the 50's.

I posted on Facebook only for a couple of years (wasn't my thing) and I corresponded mainly with people that I worked with and befriended out of work, most of whom were locals.

I hear about all the gossip and inappropriate stuff going on on Facebook, but I personally came across none of that.

If I have to say one thing about australians and NZers, it's that they are great at respecting boundaries and seldom intrude into other people's personal lives. Unlike other nationalities, mine included.

There are those here that I find distasteful and bothersome, so I put them on ignore as soon as I know they're a problem for me. Some of the people you've accused me of 'giggling' with are those I've never seen more than one post from.

You and Emerson, along with all the other characters that live to plague you, feed off of each other. It's a cycle that you have taken part in, sometimes with gusto, from what I've seen. You've mentioned that this has been going on for over a year. As far as I'm concerned this is gross over-generalization. If there are anti-female men here there's an equal number of anti-male females. The only thing that bothers me is the use of a broad brush to slap that paint on all men.
