The Devil made you do it? What a buck-passer you are.

Who said that? I never said that "The Devil Made Me Do It". We are still accountable for our choices. The Devil tempts us in the areas where we are weak, but ultimately we are still responsible for our choices. The point wasn't to pass the buck, it was to let you know that there really is a devil and there really are demons and they really do influence this wicked world we live in.

Bullshit. It's a total invention. You just want something else to blame than your own sorry self.

Tryharder62 isn't descended from a mythical rib-woman who claimed a serpent told her to steal the produce, and from whom we get the word, "Evil".

Rather, she's descended from noble, hard-working proto-hominids.

Dont listen to Oreo.

In the real sens - not his robotic sens - yes; but you're not entirely correct.

Eve came from Evil not the other way around. But it must be properly understood not literally. It's a signification, it's a... energy type, etc. it's an ID of sorts. Not a literal description.

And evil, is the other direction of Live. Going further, Devil-Lived.

The reason some think women should be obedient to men is due to the fact that the ancient folk lived in chauvinistic societies. Enshrining women's obedience to men in religious scripts is just how you enshrine that obedience. "See it says so in the holy writings!"

The Canaanite storm god is also one of the first big time male gods. Previously Earth Mother types would have been worshipped. Best to keep women down if a male god is to rule creation.

Entirely BullCrap. The pun is too appropriately obvious as well.

It's two unrelated words, is what it is. And the concept of evil in Christianity has nothing essentially to do with Eve -- or even with her sin. Evil is evil, that is all, isn't it?

Which means not one thing more than does the fact that God spelled backwards is Dog.

Pure logic - and a misinformed and erroneous one at that - will get you nowhere here.

Either take up spiritual development, or let this kind of topic go.

It's about a railroad. They build a railroad and she locks herself in a little bunker and makes herself bacon and eggs for 500 pages. It's iconic.

No, it is impossible without Jesus. Because in order to be born spiritually, you have to accept Jesus Christ.

No you don't. Better bet is to embrace the teachings of Buddha.

1. Act with Loving-kindness;
2. Be open hearted and generous;
3. Practice stillness, simplicity and contentment;
4. Speak with truth, clarity and peace;
5. Live with mindfulness.

Those are all ethical precepts -- they have nothing to do with spiritual practice or progress as such, do they? For that, Buddhists meditate, I think; some also pray, although to whom or what is not clear to me, since Buddha never claimed to be a god nor to speak for one, and while he assumed the existence of the gods he grew up worshiping, in his system, for purposes of seeking enlightenment the gods cannot help, they are in the same fix we are and are entirely beside the point.

Buddha didn't perform miracles. He didn't heal the sick, make the blind to see, turn water into wine, walk on water, teleport, raise the dead, make the lame to walk, fulfill hundreds of prophecies written hundreds of years before his birth, Predict his own death, burial and resurrection and then die and rise from the dead....But Jesus Christ did. I choose to believe Jesus, who also said "Love thy neighbor as thyself"

Lu 6:27 But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, and pray for those who despitefully use you. 29 And to him who strikes you on the one cheek, also offer the other. And to him who takes away your garment, do not forbid your tunic also.
30 Give to everyone who asks of you, and from him who takes away your goods, do not ask them again. 31 And as you desire that men should do to you, you do also to them likewise. 32 For if you love those who love you, what thanks do you have? For sinners also love those who love them.

Jesus did none of these things. Heal the sick maybe. But raising the dead and the rest is pure fiction. A myth. You know myths. Like Zeus and Odin. Also Jesus and Bog. Just because a small group of cultist took to putting it in writing does not make it so. Scientologists have their dogma written on gold sheets (or is that Mormons?). Does not make it real. You have zero proof of these things aside from an ancient book describing the oral history of the Jewish people, their myths and legends and a slightly newer book proscribing a mystical religion that promises nothing in this life but only after death. Which is why it flourished in ancient times among slaves and women.

Buddha never claimed to be divine. Never did divine miracles. Was just a man. So is not a myth.

So what? He never even pretended he could do those things. He never claimed to be a god, a god's prophet, or anything more than a guy who sat under a tree and worked some things out. Just because a religious leader can work miracles, which Jesus couldn't, does not mean he knows what he's talking about.

Really? So then the eyewitnesses are wrong and you are right because they were there and you weren't? A myth that's backed up secular historians and eyewitnesses writings from His day isn't a myth. Small group of cultists? No, Christianity exploded after the resurrection. Had He not risen from the dead, He would have been exposed as a fraud. The opposite happened because hundreds of people saw Him after He rose from the dead and watched Him ascend up into heaven. There is LOTS of proof including secular writings from His day and eyewitness writings from His day, Church writings, apochryphical writings as well. Buddha wasn't divine. Christ was and backed it up with miracles.

There is no evidence that backs up the bible beyond the fact that a historical Jesus may have lived. The only source for miracles is the Bible. Which can hardly be held up as a non-biased source. No secular historians back up a divine Jesus.

You have zero evidence of divine miracles. All you have is faith. For most Christians that is enough. But you seem to need more. Is your faith that weak that you demand physical evidence? Can you not accept that there is no real evidence of Jesus divinity but just accept on faith that he was? I would have far more respect for a Christian who just quietly accepted that there is no real evidence and was just going on faith.

Faith, hope and charity. The three virtues of Christianity. Faith that Jesus was divine in the face of a lack of evidence. Hope in the afterlife in the face of a lack of evidence. You seem to need your beliefs backed up by scientific and historical evidence. Even going so far as to make up stuff like dinosaurs running around with men.

Really? I've seen demons and have been attacked by them. I also know countless others, Christian and Non Christian who have as well. Not feeling sorry. Feeling thankful that I don't have to fear them. When people die without Christ, they torment them and drag their pitiful souls into hell. God has shown me how to fight back through His power.
