Yes, I believe that. I have encountered demons via deliverance meetings and many of them are pegan gods, however, not all demons are pagan gods. Many demons are named for the sin that they specialize in, eg. hate, anger, rage, wrath, ect. tend to travel in groups, lust, fornication, adultry, pornography, ect. types tend to travel together. They specialize in trying to get us to sin certain sins.

It's also Biblical that many of the pagan gods are demons/devils:

Le 17:7 And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations.

Ps 106:37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,
The Devil made you do it? What a buck-passer you are.

Hell is having to watch golf forever.

The Ice Giants are in Jotunheim . . . hiding . . . waiting . . . plotting . . . biding their time . . . spreading myths and propaganda about "global warming" . . . but someday soon a shaft of ice the size of a large tree trunk will make its way into your lower intestines, and make you like it.

Then save your toenail clippings and postpone the end of times... until it starts again.

Original Sin.

A question for xfrodobagginsx.

Many fundamentalist protestants, the Southern Baptists being examples, believe that sin originated from Eve, and Eve was created from Adam. On that basis they believe that women should be obedient to men and subjugate themselves accordingly.

Given that basic point should Tryharder 62 do as you tell her or do you think her views are equal to yours?:)

Tryharder62 isn't descended from a mythical rib-woman who claimed a serpent told her to steal the produce, and from whom we get the word, "Evil".

Rather, she's descended from noble, hard-working proto-hominids.

Or Eve (or at least her actions) are a construct of what was a hugely misogynistic world at the time. Just sayin.

Well, no.

evil (adj.) Look up evil at Dictionary.com
Old English yfel (Kentish evel) "bad, vicious, ill, wicked," from Proto-Germanic *ubilaz (source also of Old Saxon ubil, Old Frisian and Middle Dutch evel, Dutch euvel, Old High German ubil, German übel, Gothic ubils), from PIE *upelo-, from root *wap- "bad, evil" (source also of Hittite huwapp- "evil").

In Old English and other older Germanic languages other than Scandinavian, "this word is the most comprehensive adjectival expression of disapproval, dislike or disparagement" [OED]. Evil was the word the Anglo-Saxons used where we would use bad, cruel, unskillful, defective (adj.), or harm (n.), crime, misfortune, disease (n.). In Middle English, bad took the wider range of senses and evil began to focus on moral badness. Both words have good as their opposite. Evil-favored (1520s) meant "ugly." Evilchild is attested as an English surname from 13c.

The adverb is Old English yfele, originally of words or speech. Also as a noun in Old English, "what is bad; sin, wickedness; anything that causes injury, morally or physically." Especially of a malady or disease from c. 1200. The meaning "extreme moral wickedness" was one of the senses of the Old English noun, but it did not become established as the main sense of the modern word until 18c. As a noun, Middle English also had evilty. Related: Evilly. Evil eye (Latin oculus malus) was Old English eage yfel. The jocular notion of an evil twin as an excuse for regrettable deeds is by 1986, American English, from an old motif in mythology.

The word evil does not come from Eve. Evil itself might since she was reportedly a nasty bitch but not the word.

That's not really true. Fundamental Protestants believe that sin originated with satan. As far as mankind goes, while it is true that Eve did sin first, sin was passed on to the children via the father, Adam, not Eve. The reason that women should be obedient to men is because God commanded it as a result of her being deceived by satan. The man sinned, but was not deceived.

The reason some think women should be obedient to men is due to the fact that the ancient folk lived in chauvinistic societies. Enshrining women's obedience to men in religious scripts is just how you enshrine that obedience. "See it says so in the holy writings!"

The Canaanite storm god is also one of the first big time male gods. Previously Earth Mother types would have been worshipped. Best to keep women down if a male god is to rule creation.

It shows that you don't really know the Bible. Jesus came to save sinners from the punishment of hell for their wickedness. He is patiently waiting for those who will turn to Him for salvation to come to fullness before He judges those who won't.

It's called humour!

I think, if you look in the bible, you see a definite difference between men and woman.

Taken from Adams rib, Eve was to be his perfect companion until Satan came along. Satan would love this interpretation that woman are not to be heard from and are suppose to obey the men. I don't think God likes it.

Some believe that being submissive means to simply obey and to deny personal feelings, desires, expectations, and dreams. They think a wife is not submissive if she shares her opinions with her husband.

Worse, countless women have been sent back to their homes and told to submit to abusive husbands — in some cases without anyone ever speaking to him about how he treats her. Some even believe that wives who are abused cause the abuse by their lack of submission.

Actually the biblical relationship is beautiful. Most spoken about is the verses in Ephesian about husbands and wives. Look at Ephesians 5:22-23.

22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— 30 for we are members of his body. 31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”32 This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

You can see that more is actually required of the man. In those days marriages were arranged for financial reasons. It was a breath of fresh air that a husband should actually love his wife like Christ loves his church. (Remember Christ gave everything on the cross.;)) If you love your wife like Christ loved the church you are going to listen to her and give everything to care for her. Pretty sweet description.

The husband is suppose to love his wife as he loves himself. The wife is suppose to respect her husband. Most of the meaning about not disagreeing with your husband in public is part of that respect. I don't think you should disrespect your husband in public but voice your opinions one on one. If he loves you he will listen.

As to woman's place in the church. Most of the verses on that were written when the church was in chaos. I think Satan loves to continue the chaos. I think this is more about tradition. If you look into the future at the end times. (Which I feel are coming soon) The bible says God will spill out the spirit on the son's and daughters. Not one over the other. I am in a church that doesn't allow woman pastors but I have many woman pastor friends through my job. If they are preaching the truth let them shout it from the rooftops for all I care. People need the Lord.
