The Isolated Blurt Thread XXXVII: Cleaning Your Pooper Like A Wire Brush

You don't have to read or respond if you don't feel the need but it seems like that restraint always escapes you.

Is someone paying you to try to clarify repugnant posters posts? That post was NOTHING new for AJ.

By "those of us" you were clearly excluded from that group so don't flatter yourself.

I intervened so aggressively not because I was annoyed by Rincess_Princess_Gump's disgusting inuendoes about AJ and his daughter.

But because you people were accusing AJ of unthinkable things.
This is far more serious than our squabbles re who's a racist or a bad person or not.

I wanted to offer an alternative view of what happened in that thread.

Now that I did what I attempted to achieve, I'm not going to carry it further.

So, anyway.

It's been beautiful weather where I am today, cold, not freezing but cold, and the sky was bright, rich blue. Sharp breeze.

( seriously. Weather talk IS more interesting) anyone else?

Sunny and bright. A great day for riding a bike. The forest is mostly leaf- less, but.you can see what's hidden in summer. 70 degrees f. 5 miles of riding, then it's home for some delicious marmalade! Then our to the fledgling garden.

It might snow on Sunday.

It is soon going to be my garden's peak :). The last couple of years haven't been so kind, not cold enough in winter, too wet through warmer months. Surprising losses. But it's impossible not to enjoy this. I took some pictures of the oak flowers today. So easy to miss:)

Yea warm winters can be bad news if you need chill hours and such.

Well hopefully your garden makes a speedy recovery and if you take pic's please post em' up in my gardening thread.

I'm hoping to get a bunch together after some yard work this upcoming weekend makes it semi presentable looking LOL.

Oaks are cool trees. I've been prepping a canyon oak for collection for 3 years now, I went and visited it about a week ago and it had it's flowers out.

I'm going to dig it out next spring and finally pot it. If it survives the transplant it will be an amazing bonsai with about another 3-5 years of training. It's got a chunky, gnarled up and mossy trunk with beefy little roots to match.

But they are difficult as they don't like to be dug up or even transplanted really because they don't like to kick back new fine roots. So I'm only doing part of the roots every year while the other more established ones keep the tree going though recovery. Thus the 3 years.

Seems to be doing well so far, hopefully it doesn't bomb out when I go surgical on the tap root.

Huh, the thread Petey linked to earlier has been disappeared. Wonder who complained to management?

That thread was doomed as soon as Laurel saw it. That it survived 16 years is amazing. But times are different.

Guys, I think it's time to get rid of the Karen Kraft rules and institute the Hashtag Histrionics rule.

For stupidity like that, I just go with the tried and true method - "off with their heads".

Saves time and is way more satisfying. *nods*

I used the link, and saw the mentioned thread, and the posts that applied to the current 2017 "discussion." I read some posts concerning the "discussion."

People that joined ages, before I did, do not know to use PM, if they are approaching subjects that extremely sensitive, or strictly "verboten" ?

*sigh*

Equinoxe, have you heard of Imelda May? I've just bought her new album - Life Love Flesh Blood, and it's great. Her voice is beautiful. I'm not sure I'd be keen on her previous stuff as it's classed as rockabilly, but this album is worth checking out.

I like it quite a bit.
