I did too! I was a little apprehensive but I ended up really liking it.

It took me a while to watch it, but I was really pleasantly surprised. Great visual affects and it was funnier than I expected. I thought the same when I saw Guardians of the Galaxy.

Pepsi: "shittt, nobody could have a bigger PR disaster than us this week!"

United Airlines: "Hold my beer..."

Sean Spicer: "bitch, please..."

I see that the United Airlines incident got ample coverage on Wikipedia.

Oh, and I just noticed their company slogan‎: ‎"Fly the Friendly Skies"‎ :D

I don't know if you're a podcast person but NPR does a daily podcast called Up First and they discussed this topic. There was speculation that there will be plenty of news coverage of this, especially in China because the passenger was Chinese and that United Airlines competes with many airlines in China. It was actually a somewhat interesting take on why the coverage has gone so viral.

Several links came up when I googled it.

Could you give me the right link? Thx.

I frequently find myself wanting to pronounce it Wed-nes-day. Now I'm wondering if people particularly enjoyed getting married in the middle of the week. [/mad ramblings]

I have the highest possible regard for science, scientific method and the benefits that have accrued to humanity from its practice.

I have been enraged and disgusted by the crap that has been promulgated under the guise of "science" by charlatans and buncombe artists.

For me, the last twelve years have been like witnessing a bunch of superstitious medieval peasants being deceived by claims of alchemists and swindlers. It's been like witnessing a yet-to-be-written chapter out of McKay's Extraordinary Popular Delusions and The Madness of Crowds. What's particularly disgusting is the role that a complicit media has played in promulgating the garbage and the complete failure of others to speak out for fear of social ostracism, careerism and tribal retribution. A depressing number of "scientists" (who should be ashamed) have collaborated in this fraud for pecuniary and social reasons.

The climate models have been wrong for a very simple reason; climate "science" doesn't have the foggiest idea in hell how the climate system works.

The "Endangerment Finding" is a perfect example of what happens when pseudoscience is politicized and the tenets of scientific method ignored.

Back before getting married meant a big party you had to plan for six months, people were more inclined to follow superstition and lore, there were lucky months, days, holy days, etc that were good for getting married.

Here's an old rhyme that may prove your ramblings to be not mad at all:

Marry on Monday for health,
Tuesday for wealth,
Wednesday the best day of all,
Thursday for crosses,
Friday for losses,
and Saturday for no luck at all

Interesting that Sunday isn't even considered, and the bad luck days are the ones most used today. :)

I get it when my commute is a bitch because it's raining or snowing but not when it's sunny.
