Cabinet saw? W/ SawStop? 😃

A smart woodworker learns to keep their wiener away from the blade.

attachment.php

Just like the one in my kid's garage. He has a dust collector hooked up to it, but that collector needs some modification. He's going to add a cyclone prefilter unit to keep the chunks from hitting the impeller.

It's like I have 3 husbands!

I'm sure you could handle all three and when they're sleeping it off, you could do a bit of cabinet work.

Dust collection becomes essential if you want to do much with that list...the fine stuff will kill you faster than smoking.

I have a two units, one that hooks up to my sander and the future sliding miter saw, and the other, that is just an overall air cleaner that hangs from the ceiling. I'll be picking up a another that will work for the planer, jointer, table saw, etc.

I built one just for woodworking, 24x26 9' ceilings and gas heat...its still too small

I haven't even fully moved into mine and I'm lamenting that it's too small.

People talk waaaaaaay too much.

Half the time, they haven't got a fucking clue what they're blabbing about. It's just goddamned noise.

Back at the old school, we had a class poll. One vote was for: "Talks most, says least." A second poll was taken for: "Talks least, says most."

This! Not every random thought that crosses the brain should be displayed for the blurt.

Why does it bother you so badly?

It wasn't specifically for you, but I'll go there. This is so clear to me.

"Talks most, says least."
"Talks least, says most.

Why the why? Hmmmm So much personal scrolling? It's boring, but that is subjective to me. Lots of words but don't come away with any meat.

Less is definitely more.

I can't sleep so I've given up trying.

Runny nose and cough kept me up all night blimmin heck.

Not touching that one:eek:

I have a 1hp delta that I modified...one of them garbage can lids with the elbow inside on a 45 gallon drum works great as a seperator and then get rid of the felt bag and put a pleated filter on..works great.
I have a flex hose I just put to each tool...will do some ducting one of these days.

The rigid combination belt spindle sander is a great rig...couldn't be without mine

For sanding with hand sander I took an old furnace motor and squirel cage fan and built a downdraft table. I had a delta air filter hanging but it blew a bearing so I'm in the process of making another like the downdraft table...way quieter than them screaming motors as well.
Just got a lathe set up and that thing is going to need some work for chip and dust control...what a mess

How to say a lot without saying anything.

Okay. I wasn't sure if it was about me but after you've said it several times following some of my conversations in here I wondered. It actually doesn't matter if it is about me or not. I'm sorry if I'm boring to you or others but I do have just as much right to come into the Blurt thread and post about silly woodworking or life stuff as much as Trysail can come in here and constantly post about his running times, his huge graphs, or whatnot.

I'm not the only one who would enjoy this particular Blurt thread ending and moving on to someone else.

I hope that if my conversations are as boring to others they might just put me on ignore so I don't ruin their subjective Lit experience.

It's a beautiful day - it feels nice to have the sun warming my body again.

I wish! I could happily live my life as a nudist. But the neighbors have kids and I don't have a fence.

Just bad timing if you thought it was about you. It was actually something I was thinking yesterday and then saw Trysail's post which hit spot on. Personally, it being Lance's thread has absolutely nothing to do with the flow of the thread, but I guess it could if enough people have him on ignore and won't post. I have one person on ignore because I think anyone that I traditionally scroll past may have something to say every 30th post.

You enjoy blurts to be anything and everything, yet am I not allowed to blurt what is in my head? I've also seen much bitching about Trysail's wall of text and graphs...how is any of that any different?

I never said anyone was not allowed to post any which way they choose, I apologize if that's how what I wrote came off. Of course I think everyone is allowed their own style of posting, just like you I don't have to enjoy it all.

I wrote in a deliberate way as to not sound aggressive or preachy because I respect the hell out of you and was genuinely curious if it was me that was bugging you. I didn't write anything inflammatory or accusing, I was polite. I wrote genuine words because I meant them.

Trysail has his own style and because it bugs me I put it on ignore and move on. That was my point, not that he or you don't have the same right to post in your own ways.

I saw this quoted and even though I have Trysail on ignore I clicked "view post" just to see this for myself.

The irony here is nothing short of spectacular.

I'm just gonna be honest OK?

To me, this is hella aggressive. Just a random question out of nowhere basically asking her WTF her problem is.

And I'm not just saying that because Aqua is yum or because she is my friend. I'm saying it because I've noticed this from you just recently. You seem... I dunno. Touchy.

Thank you, no harm done. Hopefully my musings weren't taken to heart because that's not where I intended. Sometimes I need to get things out of my head and haven't taken in to thought what the convo was going on currently.

I also smiled at that, and wondered if he won the latter award.

GS, I'll be honest too, your opinion means naught to me. A question is not aggressive, especially if there is a relationship to back that up. If said question is read differently by someone that is their opinion. My question was not aggressive, it was a simple question.

When adding emotion to it, that's when the disconnect happens.

I just wanted to let you guys know that no, I am not a real doctor.

I know it would be cool to fap to me taking your "inner" temperature, alas. I'm open to pretend doctoring.

I appreciate all the private messages though. :)

My opinion might mean naught to you, but it means something to me and others.

You come across as a bully sometimes, and I'm not the type of girl to sit idly by when I think someone is picking on my mates. You know me better than that.

It was aggressive to me. We can agree to disagree.
