I've never answered here, just read some. I think I know, there is a color of ocean off the coast of Hawaii that is a meld of blue and green. I especially like using Hawaii as my point of reference because the color of the newly erupting lava is me too. It's complicated.

That's so funny because when I first read C's question I thought orange too because I kind of feel like lava inching down a mountain unsure of which way to go!

But I think I'm going to say a deep shade of PLUM because I'm also feeling a little blue and a little sexually promiscuous (i.e., red )

Periwinkle. It's pretty but not traditional. It's almost impossible to define. It's the blue of the sky when it's cool, but not cold ... cloudy, but not dark. It can be almost purple in the right light, or even a soft gray. It's soft, but complex. Feminine, but not girly.

And ... it's just fun to say.

I don't really equate color to my life, though I have used the color and phrase "my life has turned black recently..."

My favorite colors are red, black and teal (that's a dark blue green color, opposed to aqua which is a light blue green color). I don't think of the color black as moody, somber or evil, though I myself have used that color to describe a dark period of my life. When I was 17 or so, I did a single color representation of myself, and painted myself as red. Of course, it wasn't just red and I used subtle hues of whiter and blacker red to define tonal variances.

hmm... since I ponied up and put my big boy pants on to try and answer the question, instead of sitting on a fence of indecision I'll go ahead and say red. its not a "precisely accurate" answer, and I won't die or get fired as a result of giving a wrong answer, but it IS an answer.

Sometimes it's the weird questions that lower the barriers for conversation. I've long said this thread is totally unpredictable when it comes to what generates activity and what lays there like a dead fish.

I will say I enjoyed the imagery that was posted as part of some of the color responses. Sometimes it takes more to convey and answer.

It's a fun-filled Friday. As such, let's go with it.

Is sex the absolute most fun a person can have? Is fun even the right word to use to describe it?

if sex is "fun" is a difficult question to answer, because it depends on the application and belief system you believe in.

Sex releases endorphins in the brain which give the person pleasure. "Pleasure" can be said to have a synonym called "fun."

I wont discuss belief systems except to state that some beliefs believe sex isnt meant to be "fun." Belief systems usually want you to attain lofty goals which are contrary to personal pleasure. For instance, satisfaction of a job well done is it's own pleasure.

There was a guy I used to work with who used to say "this is the most fun you can have with your clothes on." I subscribe to that point of view. You can have as much fun as sex, without having sex. But unless you are doing it wrong, sex can be fun!

On the other hand, drugs, particularly cocaine, cause a faux pleasure/endorphins high similar to, if not directly related to a sexual high. This is why cocaine is such an addictive drug. So right there, there is an "absolute fun" that exceeds sex, because a) you don't need another person to use cocaine, and b) you can use cocaine many more times than you could have sex in a day.

But while I do think sex is amazing, I guess it's not in the fun zone of my mind. Rainshine sort of described it well. Fun isn't the word I would use. Not that it isn't fun. But pleasurable, as Wolfie said, is a better term. It's more of a feeling that I enjoy.

For me, fun involves laughing. Or winning. I like winning. Also, music related stuff is fun to me.

There are different types of fun, so it is difficult to say that it is the absolute most fun. And those different kinds of fun all enrich your life in different ways. For me, it is difficult to rank them so I don't. I just try to live in those moments.

Fun is one of the words I would use to describe sex. And it's amusing to me because "You wanna have some fun?" is one of our inquiring about sex phrases. So yes, I definitely think of it as fun. Not that I'm cracking jokes throughout the act itself. I actually really enjoy when it is a little dark and...intense. But that's just another shade of fun to me.

I would choose green to represent health, life, vibrancy, green for go; it's a cool colour without being cold. It speaks of freshness, growth and vigour, but perhaps a little too of naivety, inexperience and envy... It's not easy being green.
