Senior Moments

Okay - today was a definite "senior" day for me. I went to sign into Facebook this morning on my phone and everything was in Chinese. I thought I had hit the language button or something so tapped on the English and it went to French. Hmmmm ok --- I shut my phone off and tried again. Took abou three tries to finally get it to English. Was Facebook messing with me?

Get home this afternoon after a horrendous day at work, I bet I said it 50 times today "I'm too old for this crap, I need to retire" , and find my Medicare card in the mail. That just seems soooo final..... like yeah you need to retire - lol

Ok I need to mix some Geritol in my Emergen-C and carry on.

:)

The wife's 70th birthday is in about a month and a half. Last night I told her, "I'm going to get you 5 guys for your birthday and I don't mean burgers". She asked if it would come as a gift card...;)

And what was your reply?

Two steroid shots in the right hip today for left arm and shoulder pain. :(

Shots in the right hip for pain in the left arm and shoulder? Think the doc missed the mark?

I reminded the nursing assisant beforehand that the issue was on the left side. She said it wasn't a problem. But I'm going to google steroid shots for the hell of it. :)

Sounds strange to me, but I'm not a doctor.

It could be sort of like a song we sang as children:

The toe bone's connected to the foot bone,
The foot bone's connected to the ankle bone,
The ankle bone's connected to the leg bone,
Now shake dem skeleton bones!

Then again, maybe not.

I think I would have refused the shot unless someone could explain it to me.

I was in the hospital for a hysterectomy. I was on a diabetic diet and ordered an orange muffin that was on the diabetic menu. I knew that it had real sugar and lots of it after one bite, so I didn't eat the rest. After taking my blood sugar the nurse came in to give me an insulin shot. I refused because I wasn't on insulin. The next time my blood sugar was taken it was normal.

I think we're all on the same page about our best wishes and prayers for all of us who are going through the vagaries of our irreversible condition.

Plus, we're old and cranky :)...

Speak for yourself! :D (the old and cranky part)

It's just frustrating went something you used to do with no problems is now a task it gets old.
