Putting a price on Kim Jong Un's head, or not

Kim Jong Un is a total whack job, plus he's in charge of a limited nuclear arsenal and he routinely threatens to send one our way. He may have a delivery system capable of reaching the U.S.
He has had one advisor who displeased him burned alive, and recently he had several people executed by antiaircraft weapons.
OK, I'd like to see that in a movie. Only not with real people.
Anyway, it's clear this man has to be taken down.
Or does he?
Two-part question:
What is the appropriate price for a hit?
If he's going to nuke the U.S., where would you want it to land?

KJU will not live to old age. Either his own people (military) will murder him, or China will. Or Russia will. No cost to us.

As for the nuke thing: Can we please please please make it 5 nukes? Please? Seattle, Portland, SF, LA and Sacramento? Please? I'll bake a cake in commemoration.

Something that should have been settled 60 years ago.

60 years ago Mao probably thought the North Korean dictator family was kind of cute.
Now it's time for China to do something about this crazy shitbird before he starts WWIII.

That damned question keeps recurring: Why on Earth was i banned.

I've done less than this thread.

That must be it.

I musta missed the Lit rules against threads about offing crazy dictators threatening the U.S. with nukes.
If such a rule exists, I submit my humblest apologies.
In the meantime, I'm a little bit bewildered by the total lack of threads about N. Korea. This Kim guy is nuttier than a pecan farm and poses, apparently, a credible threat to our safety.

One man's dictator is another man's hero. It's an online aka intl forum.

As for threads, everyone knows they just show muscle to get money or sanctions off. So its boring.

Just send him Denis Rodman when the tough goes ruff.

Let's send Obama, Pelosi, Maxine Waters, and a dozen other pinkos to NK and let them run the country. They'll destroy it in no time.

When leaders are fucked up you don't wanna replace them with better.

I mean look at the silly bastards in charge of the Democrats. Sweet Jesus please leave in charge till after 2020.

Kim does not have the capability to hit the US with a nuke missile. Maybe get some warheads into low orbit as satellites for an EMP attack or get one on a ship that can get to the US. Nuking N. Korea is out of the question. It will damage South Korea, the reason there in the first place. And damage China. Not a good idea. China can and will stop any potentially suicidal operations Kim may be considering. The military rules N. Korea. Only the support of the army keeps Kim in. The Chinese could easily subvert the DPRK army or just threaten to squash them being so close and more than big enough to do job. N. Korea provides a buffer between China and US allied South Korea. North America has it's oceans as buffers. Land empires require surrounding countries as buffers. Not good to be in a buffer nation. Whacking his brother under Chinese protection is about as far as he can mess with China.

Kim has 4 billion in Luxembourg just in case.

Kim's ace in the hole is not nuclear weapons but conventional long-range artillery, based in mountain tunnels and prepared to reduce Seoul to rubble in half an hour.

Well there is a Team ready to go in and off the fucker on standby twenty four seven.

Also the UN is still at war with North Korea they only signed a cease fire, any hostile attack on South Korea or a host of other nations and w, or many other nations would be perfectly within there rights to invade or just do whatever needed to neutralize the threat.

Moral too.

But in that event, how could the damage to Seoul be minimized?

We should pull out in the middle of the night.

Fuck up a hit and he just might nuke Seoul! Even conventional missiles and artillery would kill a lot. South Korea is not the army it was during the Korean War. It can take the DPRK army by itself with US equipment.

Let the Chinese and South Koreans deal with him. He's no threat. ISIS will get you before Kim would. On the day you win the lottery. Embargo the hell out of him and China stops buying his coal.

He has children. Maybe only a daughter by a legal wife.

That's what we need to hot young psycho Asian chick in charge of N. Korea! Photo ops!

Arrange for one of his people to off his ass by giving up his location with a transmitter and use a drone.:D

But, again, if Kiim dies, what happens next? How do we know his successor will be any improvement?

NK has the ICBM booster, but not the actual warhead technology.

North Korea has been steadily improving its rockets – which can also carry conventional explosives – for decades. It detonated its first nuclear device in 2006 but most experts believe it has yet to build one small enough to be placed on a missile. Having the credible ability to do all of that and get the missiles to sea could take well over a decade, perhaps considerably more.

Plus, the U. S. submarine fleet is second to none. A NK sub is not going anywhere in the Pacific undetected. NK is mainly bluster for many years to come.

Geez, Colonel, you're taking all the fun out of this thread.

Reddit had a good thread this morning about Best Korea's conventional artillery. Bottom line is that it's not very good, 1950s-era technology. They have virtually NO air defense artillery, so an AWACs plane and a squadron of light bombers could annihilate NK artillery in less than a day.

And there's also the possibility of no clear successor, leading to a faction fight and possibly civil war. At the end of that war NK might still or might no longer be a totalitarian dictatorship, but in any event many of its people will have died.
