When asked if she was surprised about Trump's proposal to eliminate Meals on Wheels, Preast replied, “Yeah. Because he was told- I was under the influence that he was going to help us.”

In a like vein, the folks of Appalachia are sweating bullets the con artist will kill financial aid to their region, especially in areas who voted overwhelmingly for the con artist.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he's pleased with Trump's proposal to spend more money on national security and veterans, but he vowed to "work with the delegation to protect essential Kentucky priorities in the final budget."
In other words, when it comes to programs they don't like it's a good thing to cut them, but because their state is too poor to grow economically feeding at the teet of the taxpayers is perfectly fine.
