I think I am just talking to myself, but It's Ok as long as I don't talk back, right? I'm a creationist. I think God created everything. You may say I lack evidence but one thing I don't lack is common sense (not saying you do). I just look at this world and don't believe it all could have happened by chance. The truth is we will never know this side of heaven.

In reality we are all looking for the reason for why we are here. What makes us unique? What makes us who we are? Even Christians disagree on points in the bible. That is why we gravitate to different denominations.

At some time everybody makes a decision on what they believe. I choose Jesus. It definitely wasn't a half crazed Mississippi Squirrel.:D

Do you believe that God wants us to eat him?

No... I believe you might be talking of John 6:53-55. Some of my Catholic friends do though. That is why they believe that the priest can change the bread and wine. I believe the Lord's Supper in Luke 22 :7-23 gives an example of what he means. This is just my opinion but I think he is asking us to invite him in. To believe in him with all of ourselves. In those days they didn't have a buffet restaurant at the end of the street. A staple for food was bread and for drink was wine. The fermentation process of the grapes killed harmful things that could cause sickness. He gives us his body and his blood. He asks us to remember that in the life sustaining bread and wine.

So God wants us to consume processed foods and beverages.

Except for cheeseburgers, of course.

You have to remember that Jesus is the fulfillment of the law. In Mark 7:18-19 Jesus said, "Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, since it enters not his heart but his stomach, and is expelled? (Thus he declared all foods clean.)" If you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ you are free from the curse of the law.

So eat your cheeseburger and poop!

I remember when I was young during lent McDonald's fish sandwiches were 49 cents each. 2 for 5 bucks is the special this year. I'm old.

The only reason McD's put those on the menu was for Catholics on Fridays.

I know, I was raised Catholic! Did you know some Catholic Bishops are saying it is OK to eat corn beef and rye on the Friday of St. Patrick day this year?. Catholics are just suppose to do some other kind of penance.

I'm not Catholic now, but I still think of those fish sandwiches during lent.

How old is the Earth? Did man walk with dinosaurs?

Your religion makes you believe in dragons because they're mentioned in the Bible.

Fossils make you believe in dinosaurs, because they actually exist.

What could possibly make you believe that dinosaurs and dragons are the same thing? How do you get from huge lizards to flying serpents that breathe fire and have a thing for gold and virgins?

Actually, that's not implausible; it could happen if people had a collective cultural memory of dinosaurs but many retellings of the stories added a lot of changes to them.

I really enjoy learning more about this topic. It is fascinating and I can respect the arguments on both sides. I tend to focus on what was the length of time for a day? Some people look at the bible and say that it was a literal 24 hour day. Some people look and see that things are billions of years old. Some are in between.

I like the verse 2 Peter 3:8 - with the Lord one day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like one day. He is not bound by time like we are. We are trying to put God in a box that he doesn't fit in.

I find the Gap Theory interesting.

I tend to look for the good (GOD) and not evil (Satan). I think this topic is definitely one that Satan can use to pull people away from the truth of Jesus Christ.

As to dinosaurs - with God all things are possible;)

Considering man as we know anatomically did not appear until 200k years ago and the world is about 3.5 billion years old. That would put God's day about 500 million years long. Not a thousand. Shall we say the bible was mistaken on that point? Or at least it's human authors made a mistake.

Again there are plausible reasons for the existence of God. Parameters for life to evolve even for matter to exist are on the odds of 1 in a few billion. Although as they did come about perhaps 100% certainty. But there is zero chance of man walking with dinosaurs. That is a provable as an apple falling from a tree or plotting the course of the planets in the sky.

Literally the bible states the Earth is the center of the solar system if not the universe. Surely that is now an untruth.

WORSHIPER: O, Lord, is it not true that to You a hundred million years is as but a second?

GOD: It is true.

WORSHIPER: And is it not true that to You a hundred million dollars is as but a penny?

GOD: It is true.

WORSHIPER: Then, O Lord, give me a penny!

GOD: In a second.

I don't think they are talking about the earth being the "physical" center of the solar system or universe but the "spiritual" center.

I really haven't looked into man walking with dinosaurs. I was, unsuccessfully, making a joke.
