Trump administration may cut UN funding by 50%.

And to the World bank too, according to the link.
This isn't only about him cutting funds for foreign aid; he's distancing himself from globalist institutions
What the hell is going on?

It's called "isolationism." He's defunding and downsizing the State Department, too.

This is what he ran on; its been his plan all along. The media has convinced half the country that Trump ran to harm trannies, gays and middle class white women clamoring for abortions; meanwhile he doesn't give a shit about that. He's going to do his damndest to shrink federal agencies (a good or bad thing depending upon one's personal position) and to distance us from those globalist institutions.

Well they have to throw up the "special interest group" bull shit to gin up the outrage. More smoke and mirrors from the press. Soon enough he'll be 'starving Granny' and throwing widows and orphans out in the streets.

Perhaps they think they're 'distracting' him. Now who's stupid?

Will there be death panels and gangs of armed black panthers too?

North Korea is Isolationist, they don't trade with anyone & they don't want anyone in their country. Countries that are in the U.N. are supposed to pay the equivalent of 2% of their GDP each year to the U.N. We've been paying more than that since a lot of countries were not paying their fair share. Cutting our funding so we're paying 2% doesn't make us Isolationists.

You are dumb.

Correction. Sorry, but I have to do this...

Pushing Granny off a cliff

&

Forcing her to choose between her meds and dog food...

The way what some posted above is happening though, it is happening in a very polarizing way.

There's a lot of.. well let's call them again 'snowflakes', and those may simply identify anything Trump did as 'bad', and reverse the whole thing to no return.

Which if it goes that way, trump would have delivered that kind of a final blow, instead of 'helped bring things to what the US is really about'; etc.

I am worried i suppose of the backlash of all this. At which point, the other Americans who do not wish to live that "globalist" way, would try and stop it by any means necessary... .

No President save Lincoln has had as much negative press coverage as Trump. So their coverage goes a long way in dividing the nation.

He did inflame the media too.

The possible worrisome outcome remains the same.

Btw, i started supporting Trump 2 months prior to elections. But I always called him a 'trojan hrse' par excellence.

I feel sometimes that may still be a correct description.

I started out a Cruz supporter but as time passed and that possibility failed I committed to supporting the nominee, whoever it was, knowing that Clinton and the Democrats would continue the destruction of the country and foment civil war.

Good point actually.
Come to think of it, there is an extreme polarization on both sides.

And even some of the "moderates" those who voted for Trump for reasonable motives (economical reasons or the lesser of two Evils compared to Hillary) are starting to slide a bit towards the extreme.
- Part of it has to do with the way pro-Trump media presents every measure that he takes in a manipulative way, as some sort of win against the incompetence of previous regimes
- And part of it is as a reaction to the over - the top witchhunting and over the top identity politics advocated by liberal media.

Because of that, and even if personally I think that US libs. are nuts and conservatives are more level headed, I can easily imagine the latter becoming too nationalistic /too anti-globalization
.

You can take it up with President Bush, who said that Trump's policies reveal an "isolationist tendency."

http://www.newser.com/story/239170/isolationism-is-dangerous-warns-bush.html

A "tendency" is a speculation about inclinations, not a statement of fact. You need to study the nuance of the English language. Trump has a functioning state department, he's honoring treaties, he hasn't shut off imports, exports, communication, or cooperation with foreign countries. He has our military forward deployed and pre-positioned. I'd not call that "isolationist." Oh, and neither would any thinking American.

Suddenly you're Mr. Nuance?

Having isolationist tendencies gets you called isolationist. Bite it.
