...have become my go-to cookie. The chewier the better. :)

Meh. I prefer my oatmeal brown sugar raisin "cookies" pre-baked and with milk. In a bowl. For breakfast. Steel cut for the win, none of that steamrollered stuff.

But, if we have to choose a fav cookie, divinity fudge hands down.

Well...aren't you hoity-toity? :)

The raisins kill it for me. Oatmeal chocolate chip is my goto cookie but unfortunately, most stores sell fucking Oatmeal raisin cookies.

There's a Baker's Harvest nearby that makes these huge Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. They're crispy around the edge but chewy at the center. They make them with pieces of walnuts mixed in.

I have a cousin that's an awesome cook/baker. She makes them with white chocolate chips & macadamia nuts. They're extra chewy.

Yeah, I've been on a bit of an oatmeal kick, but I don't really like it in cookie form.

This store bought box of cookies must be at least 3 weeks old but they're still as fresh and chewy as the day I bought them. Makes me wonder how old they were when I bought them...or what preserves a cookie like that for so long.

I don't think I like raisins either.

So...you're an antique. :)

It is perfectly ok to call me old and fat, I don't mind. But, you have to realize that with age comes extended maintenance. Which usually costs quite a bit since any warranty often expired many many many moons ago.

(FWIW, there's a link to my publishers bio page with a pic in my profile to verify that I AM old and fat.)

Aged, well marbled beef has it's virtues. :)

Oatmeal raisin is the cookie you mistake for chocolate chip, then end up disappointed. :(

Never been disappointed by a good oatmeal raisin cookie as long as they're not hard as a rock.

I'd replace the raisins with finely chopped dried cherries. Mmmm... :)
