Most likely advertising, the site usually leaves it up to the author to remove or leave 'bashing'
I've had abusive anon comments removed without reporting them myself. So it does happen.

I have anonymous feedback turned off.
I think, but don't know, that anonymous is retaliating with low scores.
I find the most difficult and least rewarding category to write is humour/ satire. It is normally simply ignored. As the topic of April Fool's Day implies humour the topic will be disappointing I think. I don't know why. One of your stories is h/s. My guess is, of the three you submitted it will get the fewest looks, votes and comments. The comments for it will be the most disparaging, I think- even worse than loving wives. I'm guessing but don't think it's too wide of the mark. Please prove me wrong.
The humor/satire story is currently the highest rated of the three but none of them have a Red H.
The explanation? The other two have femdom elements. That annoys self-styled 'real men' who can't see the attraction of that even as a fantasy.
Wry humor works fine with erotica. Slapstick humor makes erotica nervous (it's all silly--the positions and all--if you give it much thought, and making fun of it makes you give it thought and than be nervous about it). Lit. readers don't get satire much at all.
Well, the issue that there are jobs in which woman don't get equal pay to men certainly seems to have been documented well enough. But isn't this an issue for the Political Board?
Dagnabit! Story I posted for contest didn't have note mentioning it was for April Fools Day and I'm afraid I've upset the dear LW readers because of that.
Well, live and learn I guess.
You would have upset them regardless of any extra warnings with that story. That ending was hysterical--I laughed--but in the LW category, it is just begging for abuse.

Oh I know, I'd heard about their views before I posted my first LW story here which they didn't like much.
So I wrote the contest story as my olive branch to them but they threw it in my face lol.
Okay, so you're an LW masochist like me. I'll go read yours this evening.
Yes- you're right but it could explain why femdom stories aren't doing so well too. It is also more involved than equal pay- I support that.
Femdom stories don't succeed because weak men are afraid of strong women. There's a lot of weak men on literotica(and in washington)![]()
For some perhaps but in my experience being strong is too often about constriction and abuse and is totally inadequate, whether perpetrated by male or female. I have always refused to depend on strength. I want more than that- a lot more.
And I'm still working on my first. I wanted to get two in but I'll be lucky to get this one done. Maybe this week.
Aaaaaand ..... almost almost done. A little more sex and its finally written. Just a few thousand more words..... more coffeeeeeeee.

Okay, well have your sex and get back to writing young lady![]()
I thought somehow she had found the Horny Grail: the act of sex somehow directly producing written product (hopefully not always describing the act that produced it).
Just...a little more...sex...and it's....finally...written.
Aaaaannnnd Print.
Only a few days left for submissions for the contest.
