Will the GB Lounge kill off the GB or make it a one subject ghetto?

The Lit GB has been the one place on the internet where anything and everything was discussed with all subjects being equal, with almost no censorship, no categorization, just a random collection of subjects from any perspective.

I hope it continues to be a vibrant place where all different types of subjects are discussed without censorship in a random fashion. Hopefully this new Lounge won't destroy the greatest existing discussion board on the entire internet.

The GB is sort of a small, semi-closed biosphere pond adjacent to a much larger lake that feeds it from time to time with fresh water and assorted new micro-organisms by a connecting river stream that ebbs and flows with errant tide pulls, seasonal ice melts and rainfalls. It can't exist without that parent lake and it's shrunken over the years. Because of the lack of size and the infrequent infusions of new biota, the inhabitants that choose to remain in the pond instead of circulating in and out of it have had to find alternative ways of surviving and existing at the sunlit top in health, joy and happiness, or fall into the murky bottom darkness of eating each other or even themselves in ugly, bloody, cannibalistic bids to stay alive.

It's all good fun to love being in it, but to say it's "the greatest" for free speech and "lack of censorship" when there are certain rules and limitations for being here that don't exist at likewise forums elsewhere due to the unique prurient interest-filled larger lake being its parent means its just safer for you to stay here and gab away every so often in the small space it occupies, rather than you being really brave and swimming in the nearby ocean full of assorted larger forums that feeds into the parent lake in the same fashion the parent lake feeds into this pond.

Or maybe you were in that ocean, got bit and chomped on, then decided to swim away to here where the big meanie sea monsters can't fit into in order to finish their tasty lil' dinner!

As the bleating dies down it seems some of the picture threads on gb proper are resurfacing, aella popped up for a brief look at her moment, who rob and queen are was discussed and people are posting. Including the occasional post by people not seen for s while; even if it is to express dislike.

It's increasing volume and somethings carry on as usual. . It might be that there is good result, depends on us really

I find this place to be highly unique. Even in the days before general socializing moved away from forums like this one, there were no places like this. It's always been a cut above, even now. I highly doubt the Lounge will kill off the GB, I believe it will enrichen it. Time certainly will, but fuggit.... for now, change is good.

Amazingly, I have never had this problem anywhere.

The lounge is not going to kill the GB. The main thing the GB has going for it is minimal moderation. That is what draws us all here. We are largely free to say whatever the fuck we want. You seem to be concerned that the GB will become moderated like all the other boards and that would indeed be a shame if it ever happened. But I don't think it will.
