Back in the 90s, there were prominent members of the immigration reduction movement such as Barbara Jordan, Ezola Foster, and many others, who were black activists. Polls showed majorities of black Americans wanted immigration reduced or eliminated.

The majority of newcomers are not black, they are mestizo, East Asian, South Asian, or middle eastern, although there are increasing percentages of black newcomers they remain a minority of the total influx.

Yet, it appears many blacks, certainly the outspoken liberal black voices, have now come out 150% for unlimmited mass immigration, a total change from 20 years ago.

So, what is the reason for this change in attitude? Several theories could be advanced, but I think its probably the most obvious: hatred of whites is more important than the best interests of their own community.

So long as immigration continues to turn whites into a minority, that is what matters. The fact its keeping the percentage of blacks level or in slight decline, takes jobs from native born Americans including blacks, takes social services from native born Americans, overcrowds the schools, etc, is secondary to getting rid of whites.

I think it's simpler than that. I think it goes with the package of general opposition to those who have resistance to immigration in their support package. I don't see that supporting immigration would be of that much interest to the black segment of society just on the basis of self-interest.

I would have thought after President Obama assured them that no federal agencies would come knocking on their door if they voted and that voting in and of itself connotes citizenship I kind of thought a couple of them would have.

Under the W Admin, the Justice Department spent years hunting for voter fraud and found none. It's a non-problem and you know it. And only citizens get registered under motor-voter programs.
