Nationalities of terrorists striking America

Saudi Arabia accounted for 20 of the 9/11 attackers. Egypt 3.

Egypt is the home of the Al Qaeda leader.

Pakistan's intelligence service has protected Bin Laden and the Taliban for years.

Those 3 countries are not on the list. Any comments?

I favour leaving the Arabs to fight each other and the Iranians, but discouraging any offensive military action by the Israelis. So long as ISIS only kills fellow Arabs how is that a problem? If the Israelis get involved that will unite all all shades of Moslem opinion, Arab and non-Arab.

Yes.

They are stable governments that play both sides.

You should have mentioned Afghanistan and Germany which actually harbored the 9-11 attackers. The fact is, outside of Iran that we are dealing with a list of unstable states with unreliable information about the current occupants of said states and therein lies the difference.

Iran is Shia. They fight radical Sunni groups. If they export terrorism it is confined to the M.E. and support of Shia groups.

Osama bin Laden and Daesh would shoot dead a Shia before turning gun on a Christian or Jew.

Iran is a totalitarian state which oppresses it's own citizens. That is enough to be their enemy. Plus their hatred of Israel.

Hezbollah is about the only so-called terrorist group that is Shia. Al-Houthi in Yemen is too I believe. Hezbollah is more of a Lebanese and Palestinian nationalist organization. But has some Druze Christians in it's ranks. Suicide bombing is not part of Shia ideology. Nor is it a part of the Afghan Taliban. Suicide bombers in Afghanistan are foreign Sunnis. Kurds may be using suicide bombers if Turkey is to be believed.

Iran should be sanctioned due to being a totalitarian state based on religion not for international terror exportation.

And how often does Hezbollah attack our ally Israel?

Care to provide a link to Obama's blanket ban on any and all non-US-citizen visitors from those countries?

Oh, you can't? Okay, maybe just a few 2011 stories of green card holders being detained, or mothers and children being held for 20 hours without food?

Oh, you still can't? That's so weird!

Probably because dumb cuck Obama wasn't tough enough. If he had cajones like the Donald, maybe we could have prevented the tragedy of the Bowling Green Massacre :rose: #neverforget

It's not a ban.

It's a period of procedure review.

Quit relying on fake news designed to fuel outrage...

Americans have more guns per capita than anyone...trump should send those bad dudes back to where they came from.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to send all Kwanzaans back to Africa with a land grant instead of housing their unhappy men in prisons while the females interbreed?

And those dirty Italians; don't get me started.

I promised myself that I was not going to respond to any reply that wasn't directed connected to my purpose for posting this thread, but I feel like I have to make a comment to a pair of Ishmael's thoughts:

Islam, all of Islam, Sunni or Shia', is immiscible with secular law. They neither recognize nor support separation of church and state. That notion is at the very core of their religion and teachings.
What about Christians in America? Specifically the ones who think the Federal Government should regulate such personal choices as abortion, birth control, marriage, etc. Don't turn this into a rant about conservative versus liberal views! My point is this: you seem to think that it is only Muslims who can't or won't separate Church and State, yet Trump and his religious backers are currently voiding Federal Law that separates Church and State, including but certainly not limited to a law that currently prevents the Church from using its money to directly back one political party over another. How can you possibly argue that Muslims should be prevented from coming to America on the basis that they can't separate Church and State, when we already have millions of regular ol' Christian-types who feel the same way?

When it comes to immigration we don't need them, 'need' being used in the truest since of the word. The costs far outweigh any benefit.
Immigrants are the back bone of the cheap labor work force in the US, because regular ol' white folk won't work that hard for so little pay and benefits in such sometimes horrific working conditions. They cut up our chicken, mow our lawns, pick our lettuce. Why? Why are they doing it? Because regular ol' white folk either don't want to do it or aren't in large enough numbers in specific areas of the countries at specific times of the year to get the job done.

Two years ago, my half-brother -- whose maternal family are farmers -- watched 40% of his blueberry crop go to waste because there weren't enough Mexican immigrants -- legal or illegal -- to pick them. He increased what he was paying by more than 50% -- despite the fact that at that wage he would earn nothing for the crop that year -- in an effort to get regular ol' white folk to come out and pick. He got not one call from an interested worker. Then he posted adverts -- local news paper, Craigslist, bulletin board at local social service charities -- for "free blueberries, you pick", and even then he only got a handful of pickers because most regular ol' white folk won't work that hard to feed themselves when they can just go down to the store and buy them -- sometimes with what I grew up calling food stamps -- already picked, cleaned, packed, and ready to eat.

Anyway ...

the list is a great example of why

MUSLIMS should not be allowed in.....from anywhere

and

Should be deported from the US

Even citizens

thanks for stating the obvious

Muslims are the only ones not killing people in the USA, so they should be deported immediately before their twisted non-violent beliefs spread and ruin the USA!

It took Christians some 1800 bloody years to separate church from state and the western world started getting the freedoms we are now taking for granted. As they were working towards those freedoms they perpetrated unspeakable acts of terror on the "non believers" they encountered along the way.

Islam is simply following the same pathway. In the next few hundred years they'll evolve just Christianity did. In the meantime the "non believers" they encounter will suffer.

Nothing new under the sun.

Just more insight into whether President Trump's order is designed to save us from the danger of Muslim killers ... or simply make Trump look good for the idiots who voted him into office thinking he was going to Make America Great Again.

From ABC News (with entire article online, at this link).

Judges from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals grilled lawyers from the Department of Justice and Washington state Tuesday afternoon over a challenge to Donald Trump's controversial immigration executive order -- questioning whether it constituted a Muslim ban.

The hearing ... started with the federal judges pressing the DOJ for evidence that would justify reinstating the order, which curtailed immigrants and refugees from seven majority Muslim countries and banned Syrian asylum seekers indefinitely.

"The president determined that there was a real risk" of terrorism and determined that the "visa screening procedures are crucial," said August E. Flentje, special counselor arguing on behalf of the Justice Department. Federal authorities determined that the seven countries covered by the order "posed the greatest threat for terrorism," Flentje said.

Here's that claim again, that the 7 countries affected by the order pose -- in the DoJ's own words -- the greatest threat of terrorism to the US. Yet, the White House -- yes, that's Trump's White House and, thus, Trump's DoJ -- released a list of worldwide terrorist attacks conducted over the past 2 years in which only a small portion were perpetrated by terrorists from the 7 affected countries and none were perpetrated against the US.

Now, before you go on, note the two sections of red text below. The second only once again points out who the greatest current threat to Americans is: other Americans. But the first alludes to an attack on the US by a person from one of the 7 banned countries, and I am unaware of the attack of which they are speaking. If you know which one it is, please post that information so I can update the first page to reflect that attack, seeing how I said there had been no such attack.

Again, from ABC News (at same link as above):

Only eight of the 78 attacks that appeared on a White House list of terrorist incidents over the past two years were committed by individuals from the seven countries affected by Donald Trump’s immigration order, a review of the list by ABC News shows.

Trump's controversial executive order targeted immigrants and refugees from seven countries -- Iraq, Iran, Libya, Sudan, Syria, Yemen, and Somalia -- suspending most travelers from those nations on a temporary basis, except Syrian refugees, who were banned indefinitely.

"Numerous foreign-born individuals have been convicted or implicated in terrorism-related crimes since September 11, 2001, including foreign nationals who entered the United States after receiving visitor, student, or employment visas, or who entered through the United States refugee resettlement program," the text of the order says.

However none of the 9/11 attackers were from the countries covered by the executive order.

(You should note that the text of the list said "...since September 11, 2001..." not including 9/11. I only point this out because the line above from the ABC news response would seem to indicate that 9/11 was included on the Trump list and it was not.)

Going on...

On the White House's list were eight attacks where the alleged perpetrators were from the countries affected by the Trump executive order. In some cases on the list, the attackers were unidentified.

There were three additional attacks on the list perpetrated by refugees or those posing as refugees, one that occurred in the US, one in France, and another in Germany. Trump's executive order temporarily blocks all refugees pending a 120-day review of vetting procedures, except those from Syria, who are barred indefinitely.

The immigration order, entitled "Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry Into the United States," was already subject to criticism because no attacks on U.S. soil since 9/11 have been committed by nationals from those restricted countries -- and this new list shows more of that same trend.

In fact, the list provided by the White House shows Americans were responsible for more attacks than those from the seven banned countries combined.

Truth and facts have nothing to do with this ban. It is all about pandering to fear of the mob.
