I've finally discovered the reason I've always been suspicious of Mike Pence

I mean, the dude has some appealing qualities, like:

- at least some reverence for his Creator

- he's not a flat-out baby killer

- he's got some of that Hoosier hospitality/down homeness thing going on for him

But, still: there's always been something evil about the guy that my spiritual discernment always radars out. And yesterday, reading a piece reporting on his participation in the March of Life, it all became clear to me as the writer included a tidbit about how Pence describes himself religiously...

He refers to himself as an "evangelical Catholic". Mike Pence is a friggin' papist.

Which totally explains that evil, that deviousness, that veiled disingenuousness I recognize in him as he speaks to an audience or just stands behind Trump nodding smugly as if everything's right now in Constantine's world.

And now I'm beginning to wonder, since I also read yesterday a writer report that Trump claims some degree of "Presbyterian", and I also have humongous spiritual discernment issues with him, if Trump's really a papist, too, in his own calvinist way?

And, now that I really think about it, the fact Trump didn't ban new refugees from Catholic countries from entering the US is sorta solid proof of both his and his Vice President's despicable brand of papist Phariseeism.

America can only be great again once most of the papists are gone - we don't need that white European "Christian" evil here any more than their mid eastern terrorist Muslims cousins.

Trump's a special case, he's his own Pope and his own God.

So you would support a ban on Irish immigrants? Spanish, Italian, Poles, French? Asians are okay then? And only some English, Germans and Dutch? Better start pumping out WASP babies. The native Hispanics in the US will soon be the majority.

He looks just a little t oh oh Aryan Super Racey for me. :)

Well, anyway, we had a papist POTUS once before, so what's the worst that could happen, a missile crisis?

Actually, I totally support excruciatingly painful and massively fatal heart attacks striking piece of shit socialists more - the better if they're drawn out for 45 minutes or so.

45 minutes! Shit dat ain't nuthin'! First heart attack lasted 3 hrs. Blessedly finished by damn near dying. Second one was 4 hrs of pain at lvl 10.

Why did your beloved free Kanadian health care system let you suffer in agony?

In the US doctors use painkillers.

You've never had a heart attack have you? Trust me they gave me lots of morphine and blood thinners plus handfuls of chewable baby aspirin. Still hurts like fuck! When attack finally over I immediately fell asleep. Which is my usual reaction to getting a morphine shot. After first event in 2006 I was getting morphine for days after.

We've gone from the veep to heavy usage of morphine. Somehow that seems appropriate.

The Pope's gonna excommunicate his ass.

As long as you are truly in pain you cannot become addicted. Heavy use of morphine while in dire pain is not dangerous. I had them take me off perks after bypass surgery because I was getting a buzz from them. Went to just extra-strength Tylenol. Was fine except for a slight ache from being split open from Adam's Apple to appetite.

Veep?

Veep is vice president.
Got my own morphine tale. Went to the ER a third time in about six months with bad, bad abdominal pain. By then the staff was suspicious I was drug hunting, mostly because they had failed to diagnose that my gall bladder was shot.
So I was flat on my back in the ER cubicle for over an hour, pain worsening by the minute, while they ran tests on my blood and determined, I guess, that I wasn't in withdrawal. Then they rolled me down the hall to the CT again and finally detected the problem.
By then the pain was so bad the morphine they gave me didn't work. To top it off, a nurse who'd been listening to me moan and beg for two hours came over to tell me if I'd only relax I would give the drug a chance to work.
To my credit, I didn't call her a cunt.

Socialists are better than you.

Yes, even the worst of them, even Stalin and Mao and Pol Pot. They're better than you.

Never, ever forget that.

Good as morphine is it doesn't get rid of all pain. My heart, your gall bladder. I would hate to think of the pain level without morphine. Second one in 2015 felt like an elephant jumping up and down on my chest laughing at me telling me I was going to die.

First heart attack manifested as back pain between shoulder blades. Docs assumed I was junkie faking it too. Until I passed out and passing nurse heard my death rattle and opened curtain.

I don't doubt there's a lot of drug-hunting that goes on in ERs. The last time I was really suffering I went to the hospital's urgent care first and let them determine I needed to go to the ER. That was helpful.
