As a self-professed homebound millennial (okay - you've never admitted to the millennial part, but that's easily figured out by your posts and your age), I wouldn't say you've seen anything. Like Paul Chance states, you watched a video that is likely crafted to fit the needs of the person who made it. Either another customer would have said something or another coworker or manager would have stepped in.

But if you want to believe everything you see on the internet due to your lack of life experience, go on ahead with your fake outrage.

My default anymore is to assume this stuff is scripted. Have you ever seen those videos of people "spontaneously reacting" to something startling they have seen on TV, such as an amazing finish in a football game? In the era of the DVR, it's the easiest thing in the world to just rewind and then pretend that you're seeing it all for the first time, and you just happened to be filmed at the time because who doesn't constantly tape people watching TV?



You're right about the vicious coffee drinkers. A few weeks ago the woman at our local Starbucks congratulated me and Arte (aka Mrs. WE) for always being so pleasant to her. We never realized we were exceptional in any way. I guess not being a complete asshole is now worthy of specific praise at Starbucks.

I tip based on merit. The denomination I give is my business and between me and the person who receives it. When things are out on video of a personal nature, what type of recognition is expected? Could only get through with less than 3 min. of the video.
