I am fairly new to the scene while my partner is much more experienced. He is a very good teacher and I've been a quick study. I would like to suprize him with something that he doesn't expect, at least from me. We have used ropes, belts, scarves, and cling wrap. I really like using rope and clingwrap either by themselves or together. But like I said i like to suprize him with little thins I've learned on my own. Can any of you help me.

Leather cuffs are often very good. Because you wear them on your ankles and wrists and that's it. Your limbs are now very easy to restrain in numerous ways.

You pretty much seen it all as far as restraints go. There are things like hoods, singlegloves, straitjackets and harnesses, but they are all costly and pretty limited in use (i.e. you can only do one or two things with them).

We have leather and chain restraints which I've always been fond of as they are comfortable and look pretty hot on ankles and wrists. Also adaptable to different positions

One of our entry levels was under the bed restraints that work with Velcro and it's a quick release if needed but not one you can manage yourself

In early days here when I read a favourite restraint of someone wS being told to stay put where they were I smiled and didn't quite get it so much, I do far more now. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with a hand bigger, stronger than mine over my crossed wrists or arms or holding me down in some way. It's intimate, warm and immediate.

We don't buy restrainsts, though I really would like leather cufffs and was meant to get some but didn't as part of negotiation for something else and that is fine too.

It's not the tool
Of restraint but the restraint. I would HATE something pink, fluffy and purpose bought to be so.

That's my hardest ever. That don't move without the comfort and security of restraints

It's quite evil when you think about it :cattail:

Velcro is sold in 2 inch rolls in places like Walmart and Home Depot. Buy those rolls, cut both parts into strips, peal the layer off the back to reveal the sticky part and then stick the two parts together. You then have a very strong Velcro restraint.

Of the two parts, one is the soft side...the other has the hook parts and is rougher. Put it on your partner with the soft side touching skin and you're good to go. Not only is it cheap and it works very well, it's also very easy to get it off, in case of emergencies. No keys necessary.

Sure, leather is sexy and it smells great. Metal cuffs are macho and you can act like a cop. But, neither of them are that cheap and they both take time to get off, in emergencies. One needs a key and the other has a buckle...and maybe padlock, too.

Use what you want, but a 15 foot roll of 2 inch Velco can be all you'll ever need.

Two lines of thought:

Metal cuffs are great, have two pair, they do enough damage to encore pleasure but not so much to leave a painful mark. They work with headboards, tables, bannisers you name it.

However I thought I'd only ever need two pair, I could hogtie her with a rope connecting the two cuffs at her wrists and ankles? Well unless she had absolutely nothing to her, ankles weren't designed for wrist cuffs. So that doesn't work. So having a specific hogtie set or the softer cuffs will fit round ankles work better.

Depends on your needs really!

The velcro idea is something I'm gonna try.. Had to go to hardware store today anyway. Hand cuffs just font work on me. To be tight enough to hold me they cut me up bad. My hands aren't much biggest than wrists and I can actually slip them easily. And if the cops didn't like it he sure as hell won't

sissy loves leather, the feel is great and you can shine them up so they really glisten. Then you add brass locks, polished of course, also add chrome spreader bars, shined also. :D

Nothing looks better in a dimly lit room when the light glistens off all that shine. :rose:

Leather cuffs.

I don't have to worry about tying them wrong and cutting off circulation, like with rope. Yes, I know the rope aficionados will claim that if you do it right, that won't happen. But I'm not good with knots. I admire those who are skilled at shibari or kinbaku, but I don't have the patience to learn. And (depending on the intricacy of the ropework) in an emergency, it will be faster to get out of the cuffs than the rope.

I also don't have to worry about nerve damage, like I would from locking steel handcuffs too tight. And if the key breaks in the lock (yes, that's happened to me with steel cuffs), I can cut through the leather, if I have to.

I don't have to worry about tearing out my hair or cleaning the sticky residue from my skin, like with duct tape.

So, for me, leather cuffs are perfect. Well, almost perfect. If you're going in the water, you might want to consider a set of rubber cuffs as well. :D

Currently we use the under the bed restraints with velcro cuffs as well. I am shopping for some nice leather cuffs with buckles. Someone posted a link on another thread to a nice leather store that i have my eye on. I really like the look of the rope work but I think it would be too much for my darling. Tonight i simply used a tie to tie her hands to a bed post. It wasnt planned out and the tie was there.

Try men's neck ties. If you don't have some old ones, get them at a thrift store. 1/2 inch pliable nylon rope works, too.

Having my wrists bound or being gagged by Mistress's worn panties is intoxicating.

Beach towels work good on girls.

Go wrap around from the back in front of and under the arms, then go outside around the arms behind the back. Pull back snug and lay her on her back.

Lick clit until she screams, then keep licking.

Beach towel bondage.

Oh my gosh, I so want to try this on someone. If only I could find a willing participant. I promise, she could do anything she wants to me afterward, or before even.

I have used a wide range of securing implements, it all depends on what feels right at the time and which girl I am preparing to secure and at what level their training was at

Oh, I like the beach towel idea! I'll have to ask Sir to try that.

We have a set of velcro cuffs that clip together. I personally like them because it doesn't matter which ones go on my wrists or ankles. Also, with a little effort, I can actually un-velcro them to get them off. I never try to get out of them while sceneing (no need to) but it's given me peace of mind if SOMETHING were to happen to Sir, I can actually do something instead of sitting there helpless. Paranoid, I know :D

neck ties feel great on the skin, but once they are tied in knots, all you can do is cut them off.

Struggling against their bonds, those knots just get tighter and tighter. And if you have to get them loose in case of an emergency, all you can do is cut them, too.

Now, there's nothing wrong with using ties, as long as you have some medical scissors to cut them off, so you don't hurt your partner's skin. But, the problem with that is, you ruin your ties, because you can't use them again. They just get shorter and shorter.

Rope is good, as you can tie with knots that will come loose without much effort. And Velcro will come apart even quicker than rope will. But while scarves are sexy and neck ties are soft against the skin, both of them are difficult to get off, after your partner does a fair amount of squirming around.

Always have those scissors handy, and an ample supply of scarves and neck ties, too.

Long ago, at the dollar store, I bought some clothes line rope. You are not supposed to use it, it's supposed to be dangerous, but I love it. I can put it between the mattress and box springs at any place we are staying and pack it easily. At home, with our four poster bed it works quite well too.

Depends on the kind of restraint you're looking for.

Something to keep someone in place, like on a bed? Velcro is good for that, since there's some give, it's flexible but still strong.

I'm a bigger girl, so I don't like cuffs for the most part, they don't fit right. I *LOVE* rope though. I find it to be more versatile and comfortable. You can move around into a lot more positions and you can tie it so that you have more control over release and movement.
