Me and my sister were asked to speak at a married women's social meetup recently. The topic of the evening was Open Relationships. The women at the meetup were ages 25 to 60 or so. The big question on everyone's mind was, "How do you make it work?"
The first question I asked everyone was, "How many of you are 100% satisfied with the sex you're getting at home?" No one raised their hand.
The second question I asked was, "How many of you have thought about sex with another man, other than your husband?" Their hands raised slowly, but all hands raised.
The third question I asked was, "How many of you have husbands who like to look at porn?" Everyone looked around, and most all hands went up.
We explained that for a relationship to work, openly, the relationship has to have trust already in it. You have to be solid in your relationship, and you both have to be mature for this to work.
I explained that, for women, having an open relationship helps because she has the freedom and ability to enjoy sex with other men. This helps on so many levels. It helps a wife retain her self esteem, her feeling of self worth, the feeling that she is still attractive and desirable.
My sister told everyone that she lives with me and my husband. She told them that my husband being able to see her and I both with other men has not only helped our relationship, but it has helped their relationship as well.
One woman asked if what we had was a cuckold type of relationship. I told her that cuckold relationships take on many forms. I admitted that ours could be considered a cuckold relationship, but I still enjoy sex with my husband, especially after I have been with other men.
Another woman asked my sister if she ever had sex with my husband. She admitted that she had and does, at times. Another woman added that my husband must be an amazing man to be able to satisfy both of us. My sister and I smiled at each other.
We both explained that my husband is not well sized, in any way. And that sexually, my husband was more of a voyeur. We explained that my husband prefers to watch, yet, he can be very sensual.
Another woman asked me how I could let my own sister have sex with my husband. I explained to her that I love my sister and my husband. And I trust them both. My sister added that sometimes it just feels right.
During a break, a woman approached me and told me that her husband had asked her to have sex with a friend of theirs. She admitted that she had thought about it many times. She was afraid that if she did that her husband would see her differently. And I told her she was right.
I told this woman that a husband will always see his wife as more attractive when she has sex with other men. It just works out that way. I also told her that the friendship between her husband and this friend would strengthen as well.
The meetup turned into a Q&A about the men me and my sister have been with, how many times, how big they were, etc. It seemed to me the reason we were asked to speak at this meetup was because these women had all had thoughts of opening their relationships to include other men.
I think this is becoming more and more popular. And I hope I'm right.
