I actually agree with this and I'm die hard Trump hater. Let the guy actually get into office and see what he does. A small part of me thinks he might be a lot better than he appears.
That being said, the OP is correct. Trump got elected on things that he's dropping one by one. His base has to be pissed even if they won't admit it.

Having said that I'm watching with fascination as he slowly dismantles the norms of politics, world diplomacy, and legal aspects of becoming a president. I don't trust him half as far as I could throw him. I didn't vote for him, I think he is a spoiled, vile, little man-boy, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt to see if/what positive changes he can bring about.

Exactly. It's hard to judge anything about him because he's going about it in a manner totally different than what anyone is used to. Pretty sure he's gonna suck but he's the man and everyone has to give him a chance. Part of being an American.

The thing about the last election is that if my dad came to life (he died 6 years ago) and I told him who was running he would not have believed me. No way.

I am for free speech, but something that I think will happen is the saddest thing ever. When a president gets sworn in it is the most beautiful thing to see the peaceful transfer of power. I think it will be a zoo and the chaos will help nothing.
