What will Barry be like as a former president?

After eight years I'm guessing he'll have a hard time adjusting to not being in the spotlight. His legacy is in the crapper where it belongs and I don't think many people will pay much attention to him anymore. Good riddance.

This is where you tell others they don't contribute anything relevant to the GeeBee.

Go!

I assume he will continue to be graceful and he mostly likely writes more and gets heavily involved in a charity of some sort.

Are you serious? He and his wife have been totally classless. Michelle said there was no hope and we'd miss having grown ups in the White House. Josh Earnest coyly said Trump knew exactly what Russia was doing.

Grace my ass.

^This. He'll be excruciatingly smug. It's Michelle I'd like to say to say to her, "don't let the door hit your ass on the way out."

I kinda expect war to erupt amongst Obama, Hillary, Bernie, and Elizabeth Warren. What blacks don't yet get is, Barry was the reparations payment they feel owed them for slavery.

He'll be the same thoughtful, well-spoken, mature, moderate, humorous guy that he has been since we've known him. Something his successor can aspire to be.

Obama says his family won't leave DC until both daughters graduate from high school -- but after that, I hope he moves back to Chicago and runs for office -- mayor, governor, U.S. Senator, something like that. It's unusual but not unprecedented; John Quincy Adams went back to HoR after serving as president, and Obama is way too young to retire, and is of too much value to America.

W turned out to be pretty nice former Pres. So did his dad for that matter.
Carter certainly was better out of office than in. Ronnie and Dick stayed pretty quiet for obvious reasons.
Bill was and is a bit of an exception but way different personality than Obama so I can't imagine too much there.
What kind of President they are rarely has anything to do with what kind of former President they are.

Obama is not yet out of office. We still have time for assassinations, insurrections, insidious attacks, states of emergency, martial law, asteroid strikes. Maybe Tromp will inadvertently reveal his Russian control. (Hang the traitor!) Maybe a mutant eggplant will devour Chicago. (There goes Rahm Emmanuel!) The future is not fixed.

If none of this occurs then yes, "He'll be the same thoughtful, well-spoken, mature, moderate, humorous guy that he has been since we've known him. Something his successor can aspire to be." Unless his successor fulfills campaign pledges (and more!) by jailing Obama and Clintons and everyone else of rank in (D) politics -- y'know, the traitorous opposition. Cue the waterboarding. It's hard to be "thoughtful, well-spoken, mature, moderate, humorous" under torture.

Obama is only 55 and has 7-12 million net worth, so he's younger and has more money than most.

The Democrats will be wheeling him out at conventions for decades to come.

Can you document this? I tend to doubt it.
