Honestly I am having a hard time coming up with an agency the federal government has created that isn't a waste of tax payer money. But yes, the TSA is absolutely ridiculous. If an airport wants that level of "security" the private market will provide it.

The problem is the insane philosophy that they have to live by. Anyone could be a terrorist, especially white males who look like they have been in the military. Muslims, however, mainly the ones who look the part are not to be suspected because that is profiling and that will turn them into terrorists...

The problem is the insane philosophy that they have to live by.

In Canada, our airport security people are mostly immigrants and fat people who have a relative with seniority upstairs...so the notion that the security people are going to have a philosophical point of view or preset programming is pretty funny to me.

It always puts a smile on my face to see a whole bank of Sikhs etc at the wickets...they're the difficult ones, because their resentment of your ability to fly somewhere is greatest.

I like the middle aged Caribbean women best.

How many does it take to bring down a plane?

TSA screening does more that keep those uppity brown skins in check. It causes people with warrants to find other means of travel. It encourages all air travelers to think about what is going into their luggage and carry on. The TSA checkpoints add another layer to an evil doer without a ticket getting up close and personal with the aircraft.

Nobody like to stand in line. Nobody like to fall out of the sky. It is a small price to pay.
