The only reason it made the news is because he is an actor. But his tantrum is played out daily by individuals that never make the news. People are sick of the TSA's bullshit. We know what the profile of potential terrorists are, use the profile. The whole PC crap has to stop sometime.

They are an annoying, useless, laughing stock. The previous system worked quite well and only required a few tweaks here and there. The previous system understood that those people were customers, not criminals. They also understood that they were potentially on the hook liability wise. So in that context they were thorough and courteous. You didn't get a strip search because "your number came up", you got strip searched for cause.

The security was payed for by the people that needed it, the airlines and the flying public. Not the entire body of taxpayers.

They are, for the most part, incompetent and unaccountable.
