My personal laptop died today after having been on its death bed for months. Now I either have to buy a new one or get used to actually using my phone, which I generally hate. But I also hate getting used to a new laptop. Only bad options.

At least work laptop still works so that I can do my banking with it.

Get a Cloudbook or a Chromebook! I just got that Chromebook for my bday. I like it because it has both a keyboard and a touch interface. It supports the google play store too, so it's kind of like a tablet, but also like a computer.

Someone nitpicking my work, sent me into a tailspin of annoyance

Boss sends work order so I can prepare the data files (there are 14 on this, about half Excel based, half traffic counter program based.) The work order has the wrong E/W street, it doesn't exist on any map. Suggested that it was a state route that changes its names more than a double digit divorcee as it goes across towns. Why, I don't know, but Californians like doing that nonsense. Anyway, took me nearly 24 hours to get the map the client sent us for reference and boom, I was right. GAH, I wouldn't be so bitchy about it but I keep getting little details screwed up in the work orders, which are an easy fix to those counting video but make a huge difference in which templates I use.

I get its near the end of the year, but there's a big difference in end result reports, so those little details cause me tons of extra work if I can't catch it early enough.

Love my company, they've been amazing with my medical issues (like didn't even have to take PTO for my appendix out, just work when I could and we'd figure it out). But dang if they don't have their WTF moments.

It's such a silly thing to be peevish about but tonight G will get out the Christmas mugs. I really think they are ugly. The two I think are sort of OK are heavy pottery, which I dislike, and also, too narrow, and thus impractical. I keep out my own special mugs, but the next few weeks I am going to see a lot of a mug with pears on it that I dislike.

are they so very dear to him, elle? if so, then i guess it's a small (if niggling!) irritation in the course of things. if not, why not shop for new ones you both like, together?

we don't worry about matching mugs for the 3 of us here; we all have ones we like

I wouldn't ask him to get rid of them. It's not that he loves them, it's that he loves CHRISTMAS and everything that goes with it.

What pissed me off today was finding out a tv show called "Pure Genius" is likely to be canceled. I mean god dammit i finally find a medical drama i could actually like and its potentially going to be canceled at the end of the first season.

Another thing that pisses me off, that series the walking dead. I mean honestly i can't watch it anymore without having the urge to scream "YOU KILLED _________ YOU BASTARD!" when it comes to the main characters.
