Keeping Carrier in the USA

Let's all look at the bright side of this.

United Technologies (UTX) CEO Gregory Hayes was compensated a whopping*$9 million in 2015.*

He'll get to keep it now.

It was my father the Nixonite who never got tired of telling me "there's no free lunch."

Indiana taxpayers are footing the bill for Carrier "saving" the jobs. Whether or not it's worth it is up to them, though I note this is the second time this decade the company has gotten a tax break from the state. It's a strategy that's been proven to work for them.

I'm sure you showed the same concern for taxpayers when Solyndra was funded.

Good for him.
Maybe he can boost his income with $250,000 speaking fees.

700K per yr!

thats less then ColoredCunt pays for toilet tissue for her fat ass

Over the next ten years, United Technologies will receive $ 7million in tax breaks. In return, the company will invest about $16 million in the state and produce 1,000 jobs.

LOL @ Q-#### being able to afford a toaster.

I have it on good authority that he owns two. One a vintage 60's West German model.

I have also heard that he is able to make quality toast with nothing but a wire coat -hanger and an electric stove.

Fucking NIGGERS, ELEMENT et all screaming about TAX BREAKS of $7 million...................I saw a NIGGER LAWYER on TV screaming abut it as well), pretend to forget the BILLIONS lost on SOLYNDRA etc

May you NIGGERS be ROT IN HELL

But NIGGERS scream about $7 million over 10 yrs to keep AMERICANS working

Robbing Americans to pay for illegals
Quote:
The Department of Health and Human Services informed Congress this week that it will raid heath programs for Americans to pay for thousands of children and teenagers flooding the southwest border.

Barbara Clark, a deputy director of the department, sent a letter to congressional staffers indicating that HHS Secretary Sylvia Burwell intends to shift $167 million to pay for housing, health care, schooling, recreation, and other services for unaccompanied minors until the current temporary spending bill expires Dec. 9.

Clark wrote that the budget outlook for the rest of the fiscal year that began Oct. 1 is dire unless Congress provides $1-2 billion on top of the proposed $1.2 billion budget increase for the Office of Refugee Resettlement, the agency charged with placing children and teens with sponsors in the United States.
Here's where Americans will be deliberately short-changed:

- $14 million from the Health Resources and Services Administration, including $4.5 million from the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program and $2 million from the Maternal and Child Health program.
- $14 million from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, for contagious disease prevention and treatment and other critical public health programs.
- $72 million from the National Institutes of Health, for research on cancer, diabetes, drug abuse, mental health, infectious diseases, and much more.
- $8 million from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, for treatment and prevention programs.
- $8 million from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
- $39 million from the Children and Families Services Program.
- $4 million from the Aging and Disability Services Programs.
- $3 million from the Public Health and Social Services Emergency Fund, including more than $1 million from the Pandemic Influenza and BioShield Fund.

And it only gets worse:

Quote:
The administration has reunited many of those illegal arrivals with family members. The Associated Press reported that 80 percent of youths arriving illegally from February 2014 to September 2015 went to sponsors who themselves are illegal immigrants.

Due to backlogs in immigration courts, it can take years for the asylum claims of those youths to be adjudicated. The Office of Refugee Resettlement, meanwhile, loses track almost half of those minors, according to a recent report by the Center for Immigration Studies.

Health and Human Services informs Congress $167 million will be redirected to services for migrants

Is it just me or did somebody get under BusyBothole's skin?

He seems a bit agitated lately.

Small businesses are corporations too.
Oh, I get it. You favor across the board tax cuts on all corporations.
You're in luck, because Trump wants to cut the current, highest in the world rate of 35 percent down to 15 percent.
And when he does, I bet a lot of nice things will happen to the economy.
But you were obviously thinking that too.
Second highest.
As of 2016 the world average rate is 29.5%
The G7 average rate is 30.21%

Just read the AP story about the Carrier deal.
I was heartened by the fact AP is still awaiting confirmation from Carrier regarding aspects of the deal. That's a stark contrast to coverage during the Obama years, when the Iran deal, Fast and Furious and other adventures were closed out with merely an explanation from the administration.
Nice to know the reporters are no longer just stenographers.
Hey, maybe after Jan. 20 the AP will reinstate the Iraq/Afghanistan death toll numbers for American killed there, a staple of reports from those two countries when W. was in office. That was discontinued when Obama took office.
Carrier got a $7m tax break to keep 800 jobs in the US. They are still opening a plant in Mexico that will employ 4100, down from 5,000 before the tax deal.
So now all a company has to do is threaten to move out of the US, even if they have no real plans, and they'll get a call from the incoming administration and get tax breaks.

On The News Hour I see the number killed every week. I think it's on Friday's they have silence and show photos and brief bio of each one killed. They do when the military releases the information.

Over the next ten years, United Technologies will receive $ 7million in tax breaks. In return, the company will invest about $16 million in the state and produce 1,000 jobs.

So Indiana will get zero point four percent (O.4%) of the 230,000 jobs within their company. The State has been conned.;)

*chuckle*

These just don't seem to have the same quality and nobility as "shovel-ready" jobs!

Cheap, tawdry, shiny and distractive jobs that hurt the economy more than they help it.

Nothing but fucking PR on the part of the idiot-elect, the orange mop, the Orangutang of the zoo...

Good Gawd, but the next four years are going to be an economic disaster with a President so vested in "small ball..."

;) ;)

"If it saves or creates but one job..."

"The real problem was that TARP was not large enpugh."

"Every dollar spent on unemoyment benefits adds $4 to the economy."

True to form, NRO is bashing the deal because of tax cuts for business...

;) ;)

They used to be all in for that sort of thing.

A tax on business is a tax,

ON THE CONSUMER!

That's why they flee.

If NIGGERS had any decency, (they dont), they would be happy that Americans keep their JOBS

Instead they scream about $7 million spent over TEN YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....all the while raising MILLIONS for the

CuntStein and CuntClinton ReCunt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How many HOMELESS can be helped with that money? Fed with that money etc etc

No, the NIGGERS are invested in HATE and RACISM, they continue to do what keeps costing them elections

GOOD!

I just heard that Carrier was offered the same tax incentive before the election and turned it down.
I wonder what threats were made to them after the election.
