Don't understand the fuss about the recounts .
September Trump says election is rigged .
October Trump says election is really rigged .
November Stein says she believes him .

We should do it all over and make a rule that says, "If you don't vote you don't drive!"

Now that people have gotten a chance to see the Swamp Monster parade, how many would vote for Trump?

Recount scam

Maybe because even the people who initially said it was possible there were irregularities in the voting patterns also said there was no evidence that "hacking" the vote had occurred (including the fact that many districts had paper ballots that would have been ... difficult to "online hack").

This isn't going to change the change the fact that Trump got tens of thousands more votes in the selected states these silly recounts are going to be done in. At most, it will reduce the margins a little (as pretty much all previous recounts have done).

This is just keeping Democrats from facing up to reality and putting millions of otherwise wasted dollars under the control of a candidate who got less than one percent of the vote as she feeds their delusions for fun and profit.

On the plus side, Hillary's 2 million irrelevant excess votes from California will look great inscribed on her partication trophy.

Trump: "In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally."

Nate Cohn: "Hard to argue against an audit/recount if the president-elect asserts, without any evidence, that were millions of illegal votes."

Perhaps you could do what we do in Australia everyone over 18 and under 70 have no option, we must vote it is compulsory. Heavy fines if you don't.

I'd vote for that. We ought to have voting on Saturday and Sunday and take names, anyone that doesn't vote without a good reason, Illness, Absence, or Death has their Drivers license revoked, and can only regain it by voting the next election. Two years riding the bus, will teach the bastards the responsibility of citizenship!

voterfraud.org reported three million aliens voted illegally. I have no idea if their methodology for coming up with a number was sound, but it's safe to say these votes went overwhelmingly for Hillary. Hillary's "victory" in terms of the popular vote looks suspicious, just like everything else about her.

‘Stunning and troubling’: Election experts aghast at Trump’s baldfaced lie about people voting ‘illegally’

Aghast at Trump lying? As if he hadn't lied before?

David Becker — executive director of the Center for Election Innovation & Research and a former attorney in the Voting Section of the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division — said widespread vote fraud is highly unlikely.

“We know historically that this almost never happens,” Becker said. “You’re more likely to get eaten by a shark that simultaneously gets hit by lightning than to find a non-citizen voting.”

Trump aides spoke to Politico anonymously saying that the recount effort spearheaded by Green Party candidate Jill Stein has seriously gotten under the president-elect’s skin and he can’t let it go.

Can't Rience take his tweeter away from him?:)

The issue is that Trump gets his news from the alt right news media and then disseminates it to his non-crititical thinking base who believes the bullshit.

They know it's bullshit, but they like it. "He's a straight talker!" Trump is a character in the Reality Show about how fucked we are.

I think most people who support Trump don't know it's bullshit because they get their news from the alt right. They've been taught that the mainstream news media is full of lying liberals, so where do you think they go for news? Shortly after Trump became the GOP candidate a conservative friend asked what I thought about Trump. I turned the question back on her. Her response was that the MSM was picking on Trump. I asked her who she went to for news. Breitbart. I told her Breitbart was considered extreme right, not in the mainstream. She got angry. However, a few months later she couldn't believe the things Trump was saying. Recently, she said Steve Bannon is considered alt right. She's broadened her news sources and voted 3rd party, but she still believes the federal gov is evil and is being used by the liberals to achieve a new world order, whose purpose is to destroy conservatism and Christianity. So, we don't talk politics much.

JACK? You lost the election, sweetie.

ELECTORAL VOTE COUNTS, POPULAR VOTE DOESNT.

Live with it. And next time back a candidate with brains and balls.

Yay for Hillary!

I would love for the recount to give Hillary the presidency. :cathappy:

Trump's deplorable cult followers would go crazy. :nana:

The maximum fine levied in 99% of cases for non voting is AUD 20 which equals USD 15. - so not heavy.

The really crafty thing is that even if you do not register yourself, the electoral commission will register you from any interaction with Federal or State governments which contains the necessary details.

About 90% of people do vote so the system works.

Compulsory voting couldn't be introduced in the US because there, the States rather than the Feds decide who and how the citizens vote

I backed a candidate with balls, but the DNC fixed his wagon. It was rigged, I tell you!:)

Well this election goes to show absolutely no democrat wants to go against the official clinton war machine.

Apparently not, or she would have won. Try common sense.

So, you think Trump is a man of peace (hahahahaha)

The way he keeps scapegoating phantom illegals is really really f*cking depressing.

Depressing that a lot of people lap it up, depressing that it's such a f*cking cliche. Not like we haven't seen it a MILLION TIMES BEFORE.

Its so small, so mean, so f*cking pathetic. The billionaire asswipe demonizing people who are already at the bottom. What a P.O S. he is

Hillary Clinton’s popular vote lead is still growing

They are still counting votes.

Despite an ongoing recount effort, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton did not win the 2016 election. The latest count Monday showed she won the popular vote handily, but she still lost to President-elect Donald Trump by a wide margin, thanks to the Electoral College.

Clinton has registered 64,654,483 total votes, compared to 62,418,820 for Trump, according to a Cook Political Report analysis Monday. That represents a margin of 2,235,663 in the popular vote. Clinton garnered 48.2 percent of the popular vote, while Trump earned just 46.5 percent, good for a 1.7 point margin. Trump, however, picked up wins in key battleground states like Florida, Pennsylvania and Michigan, earning 306 Electoral College votes to Clinton's 232.

And while there were a lot of headlines about how the polls completely misfired during the 2016 election, that 1.7 percentage point margin is in line with the Real Clear Politics average of pre-election national polls, which had Clinton up by exactly 1.7 percentage points. The state-level surveys that tracked battleground states, however, largely missed.

What happens if the recounts switch the results? Hillary already conceded to Trump, the twit!

voterfraud.org reported three million aliens voted illegally.

That url redirects to electionnightgatekeepers.com. Nothing to that effect on their welcome page.

Matthew Rosza writes:

This claim has been popularized by Alex Jones, a conspiracy theorist who believes in a “Jewish mafia” that wants to hurt Americans. Last week, he claimed through his site InfoWars on that “3 million votes in the U.S. presidential election were cast by illegal aliens, according to Greg Phillips of the VoteFraud.org organization. If true, this would mean that Donald Trump still won the contest despite widespread vote fraud and almost certainly won the popular vote.”

Despite the boldness of this claim, the only source provided by InfoWars was a pair of tweets by a man named Gregg Phillips.

<snip>

There is no getting around one fact — unless Phillips provides any evidence backing up his tweets, they are categorically false, and the only responsible and accurate way to report them is as misinformation.

As PolitiFact explained on Nov. 18, Phillips not only isn’t affiliated with VoteFraud.org (as Jones claimed), but he has refused to provide any additional information that could verify or disprove his assertions. Phillips has even refused to say what his data says or where it has come from, only promising to release the information publicly once he has finished analyzing it. Until then, individuals like Trump and Jones who embrace his claims are doing so based solely on the man’s word.

PolitiFact also found that, based on his LinkedIn page, Phillips’ previous professional experience is in Republican Party politics in Alabama and Mississippi, as well as serving as managing director of a super PAC that pushed for Newt Gingrich’s 2012 presidential campaign.

Needless to say, PolitiFact has ranked the Trump/Jones argument as False. Other election law experts are joining in to do likewise.

“There’s no reason to believe this is true,” said Rick Hasen, a professor specializing in election law at the University of California, Irvine, in an interview with Politico on Sunday. “The level of fraud in US elections is quite low.”

Hasen also added, “The problem of non-citizen voting is quite small — like we’re talking claims in the dozens, we’re not talking voting in the millions, or the thousands, or even the hundreds.”

David Becker, executive director of the Center for Election Innovation & Research and a former senior trial attorney in the Voting Section of the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, was particularly colorful in illustrating the absurdity of the Trump/Jones conspiracy theory.

“We know historically that this almost never happens,” Becker told Politico. “You’re more likely to get eaten by a shark that simultaneously gets hit by lightning than to find a non-citizen voting.”

Welcome to Trump's Post-Truth America(TM).
