The 2016 Presidential Election Results Thread

Well I am learning that America is vastly more racist and misanthropic than I had previously been willing to believe.

...and now the Trumpers feel brave enough to crawl out from beneath the rocks.

So....Trump won Ohio -- that's the first Obama state he's won. Hillary held on in Virginia and New Mexico.

Clinton can afford to lose Florida and Iowa too, but she can't lose anything else unless she somehow flips a Romney state, and Arizona is almost certainly the only possibility there. (Maybe Alaska too, which is lightly polled but has been weirdly close in the few polls they've done.)

To be honest I didn't expect this to be this close. I didn't actually expect Trump to do this well.

Reminds me of 1976. I was 6 years old and we were on vacation in Mexico. I remember my parents asking people in a shop with radio what the results were late in the night.

You fucked up again. You always pretend to be younger than me but this little error makes you older.

Ooops. Fuckin' loser.

Your election has more bearing on our economy than ours do.

I'd apologize in advance for the recession you're about to have, except it ain't my fault.

Why is there only 28% reported from Michigan 2.5 hours after the fucking polls closed.

Comon.

Why is the Detroit Free Press saying that Clinton is projected to win? She's behind in the current vote, and no one else is saying anything like this.

I dont care why. She better win Michigan or we're all fucked.

Considering all the help HRC got w/incurious press, girl-power entertainment, elite gushing, this night says a lot about how loathed she is

She needs 2 of 3: Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida.

We know she was not going to win Ohio. She loses Florida and it is Bye-Bye civility and hello fascism. The Senate stays red and we can look forward to Roe v Wade also going bye-bye.

But you know what, the sheeple get what they deserve.

No, she doesn't need to win Florida. But she does need to win Michigan and Pennsylvania.

I just looked it up: Obama won Michigan by 9.5 points in 2012, and Mitt Romney's father was a very popular governor of that state. It's amazing that it's even close. When a state moves this much in 4 years, you can usually point to an obvious reason.

In that case I apologize for wishing for a complete collapse of the US. Maybe the influx of refugees will compensate for the job losses. Maybe we can grab some land too.

Any blue state wishing to secede will be welcome.

This guy wins you better hold your nuts because at 9:30 am eastern tomorrow you're all gonna lose half your money in you 401K

It's gonna be fucking ugly and expensive.

I hope you can afford it.

No they won't be.

If Trump wins the electoral vote while losing the popular vote -- and he's gonna lose the popular vote -- I look forward to more of his lectures on our "rigged system."
