Paul Ryan won't push to repeal the ACA.

So, if you're going to vote for Trump because you don't like Obamacare, don't bother. The ACA will be modified, but it's here to stay.

The premise of this is that Clinton wants to protect the ACA. That's a public position, one she used to defend her opposition to single-payer in the primary and one she's using to fear monger votes against Trump in the general. Her private position is different and outlined in Wikileaks.

You're not going to change any minds about the vote, people have already decided and the ACA, for the most part, is not an issue in this election that will sway votes. I agree, it is here to stay like it or not.

Not much different, as it turns out. She said she'd be interested in repealing the "Cadillac Tax" (which primarily affects a key Democratic constituency, well-paid senior union members) if the bi-partisan Senate was willing to find offsetting revenue elsewhere. She recognized the long history of Republicans dealing in bad faith (2008 to present) and wanted to avoid legislation seen as "repealing Obamacare".

Nothing "nefarious" there, at least to rational people.

Of course, the IBD goes one step further and enlists the help of a professional Hillary hater to man-splain what Clinton "really" meant: If ya squint REALLY hard, this means she wants public option by whatever means necessary and welcomes the Antichrist nightly at Spirit Dinners.

Try again.

The problem with this interpretation is that Colin Powel and Jeffrey Leeds--who know her well--also think she secretly wants to damage Obama's legacy. Getting rid of his signature accomplishment would do that.

Rational, well informed people, wouldn't see that position as macroeconomically rational.
