Paul Gingerich, 18, has been in prison 6 years for murdering a friends father.
Its inhumane and some want him released.
A century ago Florida hanged young killers.
What is truly inhumane is keeping him alive no matter how you look at it. If he truly has a full set of normal, human emotions, he will never be able to live with what he's done and should be allowed euthanasia on compassionate grounds. If not, then he is a mad dog and as such he should be put down.
It's the same thing with those ten-year olds who tortured and murdered poor little Jamie Bulger. From Wiki: "He was abducted, tortured and murdered by two ten-year-old boys, Robert Thompson (born 23 August 1982) and Jon Venables (born 13 August 1982)". In their case, an eye for an eye would have been far too charitable and generous.
They have been kept alive, given new identities and as I have a friend in the know, at least one of them turned out to be the vicious little shit he always was - to the great benefit of society.![]()

Gingerich was 12 at the time of the offence. He helped a 15 year old friend shoot the 15 year old's stepfather at the 15 year olds request. They both fired fatal shots.
There has to be some age limit on criminal responsibility - so where should it be?
