When Fear of Legal Action Distorts Logic

Can someone explain to me this site's idea of legality because its rules don't reflect any consistent logic.

Incest? Illegal, but good.
Rape? Illegal, but good if you dress it up nicely... even though no one *really* knows what that means.
Age of consent? 18... even though the federal age of consent is (mostly) 16, and many states are under 18.
Age when you can discuss sex in a real sense? 18... even though you can go on any sex ed forum and talk about your changing body.

Please enlighten me.

Do you really want to read stuff including minors that badly?

Its Laurel's ICK factor.

The idea is to comply with the letter and spirit of her druthers. The trick is to learn what she really wants. And what she wants occasionally defies logic, but the goal is to color inside her lines not oppose her. Get creative.

You had to create an alt for all that?

This has been asked and answered many times before. Laurel's board, Laurel's rules.

There are a lot of loopholes and grey areas when it comes to the interwebz. Like where the server resides, where the owner resides, where the registrant is based, etc.

Laurelle has to abide by the rules of the server's home (for the most part).

This pops up on AH about weekly. There are no laws in USA re: writing about crimes. You can get all you want of kid-fucking, bestiality, rape, torture, snuff etc literature all over the internet -- and in mainstream fiction too. LIT is a private website. For reasons Laurel has explained, she imposed certain rules. IMHO those rules contribute to LIT's success and longevity. That's all.

It has NOTHING to do with legality.

The rules are set by the site's owners. It's their choice. If you don't like the rules?

There are plenty of other sites that allow much more.

The real question

"how come this free site wont let me post stuff the owners dont like?"

you left out snuff and bestiality. we all know that's what you were getting at bro.

This site seems to mirror 'mainstream' porn sites. Incest, non-consent okay and underage not. Go write the owners of XNXX, Redtube and the like and see what they have to say. Nothing going on here that is not mirrored on porn sites.

Site makes money from advertisers (sponsors). They would run away real damn fast from any site using keywords regarding underage shit.

It's a private site why can't idiots get that through their heads. Owner makes the rules. Go talk about sex on a woodworking site and see how quick you get banned.

Closet fucking paedos if you ask me those who insist on the right to discuss shit like that.

If I were Laurelle I'd ban all spider talk.

I was just thinking of you today. I was out in the Sonoran Desert and saw a saguro cactus that had some of its many limbs that hung down and it reminded me of a dying spider. I thought you'd appreciate it

Dying spider. Two words that go together beautifully.

Do you get those fucks in the desert? I'm sure I read ages back there's a type that are in the Artic or up Everest or somewhere. You can't escape the bastards.
