Vintage 40 Prime THREE

Pretty good here. Life keeps me pretty busy and out of trouble. And yes the break in humidity is nice. Love going to my car and not needing another shower.

My car got filthy through the summer. During my last trip out of town I spilled coffee in it. Yesterday was the first time I had a chance to get in there and use upholstery cleaner without worrying about heat stroke doing me in before the job was done. Sometime soon I will have to clean the exterior and apply a good coat of wax before road salt becomes an issue again.

I need a few things done like that here too.
All my spare energy has been aimed at packing things up to move.

Now that the temperature is below 95 and the humidity too I can get outside more often. i need to pressure wash my house and trim my hedges. I can only really stand to mow the lawn in the summer and that still takes 3 or 4 hours every Saturday.

I miss riding the mower back home. We had 5 Acres that were mowable and it was a great way to relax with the headset on and no one wanting to bother me.

It is pretty therapeutic. I have a walk behind so it keeps me in pretty good shape. I usually lose about 10 pounds here in the summer just from outdoor activity. You have to be careful because of you can lose a lot of fluids and electrolytes fast.

I hear that. No AC here on my side of the house so I'm really careful. And I have to watch too much straight water. I hot too flushed out once and that was scary as hell. I keep propel mix straws around for bottles water just in case.

I don't think I could do a walk behind anymore with the ankles. Even too much driving kicks my butt due to both shoulders. This morning I was supposed to unload a desktop PC from my truck, set it up and check it out before delivering it. I managed to lift it, get 4 feet from my truck, turned around and put it back. There was just no way... Too heavy.

Lordy am I wiped out but our Honor Flight 2016 season ended on a great note tonight. Smoothest one yet from my airport lady and front end team. I'll see how the report goes from the other end of the airport where the actual red carpet party happens.

W00T W00T!!!!! I got the call from the new landlord to come see the garage apartment this afternoon. Then we look at furniture to see what stays and what gets garage saled. Then set up a time line on moving in.

I'm glad to hear that. I was starting to worry about you being completely homeless.

Woohoo! Happy for you, Starry!

I don't micro-manage any projects or get too pushy. My city council lady who will be my new landlady said she'd call when she was ready to show me the place & then we'd figure out the furniture. AND we're right now track to what I figured. I knew how long it's would take her but she thought it would be easier then it was.

I'm glad to hear that. I was starting to worry about you being completely homeless.

Worst case was put everything in storage & then stay at he little motor inns on 4th street until something opened up.
One of my guys who has an apartment complex he rents to veterans said if this fell thru he'd be glad to have me at his place.
So I have a back up but none of this happened until about 7 weeks ago or so for the place to live & the back up a month ago.

Glad to see it all worked out in the end. I hope you will have AC good internet and easier access to the house from where you park. Oh yeah and better landlord and neighbors. :)

I was going to do the National Novel Writing Month - NaNoWriMo - where you write a 50K word novel in a month, but I've stopped. I just can't get the story I outlined to work.

So I'm going to write a 25K piece of erotica instead LOL

Still getting it together. I've got mainly shredding tax crap from 99 forward with all the receipts to get done yet. PD just said keep them in the loop to help move too. I've been so scared I will need to hire help it's not funny. The rest is mainly fragile stuff to pack. But they think I will be able to move in before Dec 1st. I am trying to stay flexible & do what I can but resting as needed.

My wing guy from the support group came & got my JBL black laquor surround sound system, Harmon Kardon receiver & disc player. They were never really ever used or hooked up correctly so they will now have a home that appreciates them. The next big thing is getting the full size Jack Daniels barrel shrink wrapped & then moved over to the motorcycle show room in Ybor City (Tampa) with my friends/ owners there. They specialize in bikes for my Sp Forces guys. They've even built a bike with a sidecar for a wheelchair to roll into so the SCI guys can ride with the team too.

I am getting tossed back to the Ortho team by the PT. The tear isn't healing up like it should & causing more pain then anything. So I have no idea what they will do yet. Not back into the sling since they will not want to freeze up the shoulder. So I am not sure what will happen on Tuesday. Maybe X-rays & MRIs again?

Hello all.
Starry good to hear you are getting a new place.
Remembrance Day here in Canada abd UK tomorrow and Vetrans Day for you Americans

Hopefully better then living in Midtown.

I think they are trying to kill me...

It used to be that Memorial Day & Veterans Day was a day. then last year it was a week long. This year it turned into 2 weeks of events. I'm so tired today it's not funny. Just 1 more day & I am finished for this year.

Yesterday was 12 hours of the VA service with Congressmen old & new, a singing Marine Major General who gave a speech & also sang to us. TV crews and many people taking pictures since I was the escort for my WWII Navy Wave whose 93. It's like working for a Rock Star. They ALL love her:heart: We had TV crews following us wanting interviews. We ended up missing lunch since the service ran over but made it to Friday Flag Wave. There we had people stop by to take pictures cause they were doing a calendar for their business on This is Tampa Bay our home. So we were included in the shoot. Had the FOX TV team show up there too. We finally got to end the night with dinner at Quaker Steak & Lube eating with bikers and having more people (staff & customers) come meet Miss V even more then at the VA. Seriously like working for a Rock Star.

Today is sailors, a boat parade & then food this afternoon at the American Legion. I've never been on a boat down here but once when I was young & went fishing on a big boat from John's Pass. We went out into the Gulf with waves... OMG I was sick as a dog. Everyone said today will be different & a good day. It's on a dolphin cruiser boat & staying in the inter-coastal. More pictures will be taken... & I remembered the sun screen for today.

The TV camera guy & reporter waiting around after filming here. There was a special Old Glory charity flag run going from the base to downtown. So the team came down knowing we were always there on Fridays... so they got 2 birds with 1 camera shot stop.
