#PodestaEmails: Hillary Hates ‘Everyday Americans’

Hillary-Clinton_3415781b

The ‘champion’ doesn’t even like the term, yet uses it anyway to seem normal.

Via Daily Caller:

The emails, hacked from the campaign chairman John Podesta’s Gmail account and published by Wikileaks Tuesday, reveal an exchange between him and Jen Palmieri — the Clinton campaign’s director of communications — where the two struggled to decide how the phrase should be used in a speech Clinton gave in New Hampshire in April 2015.

“I think this looks good, but thought we were going to take one of the small biz policy ideas — like access to credit — highlight that in her remarks?” Palmieri wrote after another staffer emailed out the speech they had written for Clinton.

“I know she has begun to hate everyday Americans, but I think we should use it once the first time she says I’m running for president because you and everyday Americans need a champion,” Podesta replied.

Having been maybe 100 or so feet away from her earlier this evening, I can confidently report that Hillary doesn't come across as someone who is going to be dying in the near future.

Actually, I'm glad to hear that. As much as I despise her, I rarely wish people dead. Osama comes to mind as the last.

The producer of The Apprentice has indicated he will pursue the $5 million "leak clause" employees are required to sign as a condition of employment.

This means Trump's public "nigger" comments will likely never be seen or heard.

I bet Mark Cuban would pay the fine if someone asked him nicely.

Predictions:

*Hillary will be declared the winner by a major network way earlier than any candidate in modern times

*Trump will announce he's voting for Clinton to spite the GOP

*A former Republican president or vice-president who, up until now, hasn't officially endorsed Hillary, will do so

Take your pick.

Probably not, because it would be hard for any Dem to clinch prior to the polls closing in California, Oregon, and Washington.

Reagan was declared the winner in both his races before 9 PM.

They could all happen.:)

Democrats don't need no stinking polls.

She's won. She won before Trump thought about it.

Extremely optimistic pro-Clinton scenarios (she takes Iowa, Ohio, North Carolina and Georgia) has her clinching it with nothing west of Colorado.

And in whatever case, everyone is gonna assume she takes california, so they'll count that unofficcially anyway.

How many threads do we have dedicated to what a woman looks like as verses how intellectual she is?

lo-fucking-l

How many online community sites does one frequent and post in on a daily basis that are fundamentally dedicated to erotica/sex/smut/prurient interests versus pure political forums?

Trump is no longer the Republican candidate.

How many of the board Republicans are going to stop supporting him?

Fine job he's done of pulling the GOP together - against him.

Release the Apprentice tapes, Donald.

He is still the republican candidate, the RNC says so. The RNC establishment is dead to their base, the politicians & the donors that abandoned Trump might as well switch parties and become democrats.

Except they won't because they ain't. It'll be fun to see if Trompsters actually do vote the downticket establishment GOPs out of office -- to do so, Trompsters would have to vote for Dems!

Let's say I were (shudder) a Tromp voter. The GOP congresscritters on my ballot all first backed Tromp, then ran from him or never backed him. I'm heartily pissed at those establishment whores. What are my options?

1) Vote for Tromp but no-one else. If enough Trompsters do so, Dem candidates win.
2) Vote for Tromp and for 3rd party rivals of the GOP whores. Dem candidates win.
3) Vote for Tromp and for Dem rivals of the GOP whores. Dem candidates win.
4) Vote for Tromp, hold my nose, and vote for the GOP whores. GOP whores win.

Then what?

A) If (1) or (2) or (3) and Tromp wins, Dems will take congress and block his every move.
B) If (1) or (2) or (3) and HRC wins, Dems will take government and do what HRC wants.
C) If (4) and Tromp wins, GOP mainline congress will block whatever they disagree with.
D) If (4) and HRC wins, GOP congress will cock-block HRC as they have Obama.

ALL these situations are losses for Trompsters. There won't be enough Tromp-friendly congresscritters to let him do much of anything -- except order military action and shut down gov't. This election is lose-lose for Trompsters -- and for the country, if Tromp incites insurrection because 'we' were 'cheated' from victory.

Keep in mind that the GOP establishment is more than just corporate whore congresscritters. It's precinct and county and state committees, mostly comprised of folks with a vested interest in the establishment. It's local pols and donors and volunteers. For Trompsters to gain political power, they need to take over those committees and offices and do actual political work -- organizing, fundraising, persuading, bribing, They need to take over city councils and county commissions.

If Tromp wins (and he won't) he'll face a hostile infrastructure he can't control.

More:

The Presidency is not merely an individual and their political buddies. It's a machine, an organization, with the Prez as a figurehead. Elections test the competence of a candidate's organization-building. Obama and HRC victories result from the mainstream Dem establishment building a technically better machine.

Tromp's basis was running against existing political machines but not building his own. His campaign has virtually no organization. Sander's basis was similar, except his backers quickly built a machine that nearly overwhelmed the Dem mainstream. I predict the Bernie machine will quietly devour Dem infrastructure from the bottom up. Watch the 2018 congressional primaries -- the same time Trompsters will start devouring the GOP machine.

This is only the beginning, folks, the beginning of the end.

Interesting but I don't entirely agree. In any political spectrum there is always a conservative faction. The conservatives post GWB were split into numerous factions, interested in fighting each other - the only thing that united them was a black President, "Quel horreur"! Their failure to agree a viable candidate led to a populist narcissist hi jacking the party.

In 2017 Clinton will need to take the Sanders element and bury them so deep they can never emerge again. If she's smart she'll bury them within the party, if she is not smart they will split it. America will protest with a socialist but never elect one.

If Sanders and his movement is not dealt with is not, they will become a rallying point for the conservative opposition.

My bet is that Clinton will put a few Sanders people into attractive but unimportant(politically) jobs, suck up to the younger organizers to convert them into Democrats, and ignore their agenda - pleading a difficult congress.

2018 primaries are important but by then Trump will just be a distant memory. The real GOP problem will be in dealing with its own nutcases in Congress (Cruz et al).

I sense that Clinton's task in absorbing the Sanders element is the easier. The rebellious hard right of the GOP is much harder to handle. The GOP desperately needs a strong leader and there ain't one on the horizon.
