Yep. Divide and conquer is how they pull together votes. As I said in the other thread Democrats did an absolute 180 degree about face between the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings and Bill Clinton's election. I was in Corporate America when the Clarence Thomas hearings were underway. We had to sit through hours of sensitivity training suggesting that even making a complimentary remark about any woman's appearance whether it be a body part or what she chooses to wear would be grounds for firing.
Bill Clinton had actual sexual contact while he was the most powerful person on he planet with a lowly intern and it was considered no big deal by the entire left.
The way it works is they view the electorate as a pie chart so many blacks or Hispanics so many women so many gays so many Puerto Ricans so many latvians whatever. Then they set about to see how they can increase the numbers of voters in each of those little groups by finding something for those voters to be outraged about.
Republicans have the same pie charts and the same aims, however they pussyfoot around about it. They talk about Outreach and how they can be more inclusive. When really none of that works what works is fear. Fear sells.
They're coming to get you. They're coming to push Grandma off the cliff. They're going to cut off your Social Security, they're cutting off your Medicare. They're cutting off your food stamps, they are going to deport you from the country. They are indiscriminatly murdering you because you're black.

"Pro-rape," although technically accurate, seems a little bit harsh to me. Frankly I don't see Hillary that way I think that her chortling over getting a rapist off and defending her rapist husband aren't quite the same thing is just condoning it wholeheartedly.
FWIW, I would consider absolutely anyone including people whose morals I would generally not agree with to be your moral superior so long as they don't share your moral relativism.

Those people "deserting" him now were never with him, but with the party and they've been looking for a safe door out ever since the grudgingly went along with him for the sake of the party. If he wins it won't be their party any more and they know it, so they're all in for him to lose so that they can continue to lose elections in perpetuity. They are the equivalent of petulant children. Nothing more.
