Politician's having affairs is not news. Bragging about them and generally disparaging women is. JFK may have banged Marilyn in the White House. Billy moistened his cigar. But neither shot their big mouths off about it. A politician saying one thing and acting another is par for the course. The politician who says something and acts accordingly usually turns out to be a complete asshole, aka Trump.

We have probably the most unbiased (broadcast) media on the planet and it alternates between appalled disbelief and hilarity when it reports on Trump.The Today Programme, probably the most listened to, respected, serious news prog in the country has a daily "what ridiculous thing did Trump do now" segment.

Instead of turning it on Bill (and I am NO fan of him, or Hillary), can you actually defend what Trump said? I don't believe this is typical locker room bullshitting. The man was 59 years old when he said those things. I'd hope that a candidate for president would have set aside his high school/college jock humor decades before.

Every time Trump says something offensive, his defenders always scurry to rephrase his words and tell us what he really meant, or (when they can't) deflect and point at somebody else. Just because somebody else did the same disgusting thing, doesn't make it right. The man will not face up to his own utterances. He's a complete coward when it comes to doing that.

You're right, though, in that this entire election is a circus act and an embarrassment for the States. I can barely follow the election news anymore. It makes me cringe.
